I am often asked which are the best seats to choose on a flight, or in this case, what are the best First Class seats on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner? This is a subjective question, but after much time spent studying the seating plan of the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, I have concluded the best and worst seats on this Dreamliner.
There are just 8 First Class seats on British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. They are located at the front of the plane in front of Business Class. They are set up in a 1-2-1 layout so each seat can access the aisle. Each First Class seat will also come with a 23-inch IFE screen (slightly smaller than that offered by Etihad Airways and Singapore Airlines, which are both 24 inches).
With just two rows of seats, there aren’t any particular seats to avoid, but it is worth mentioning that numbers A and K have windows (in fact, two windows each) and are best for the solo traveler. E and F are together in the center and offer a better location for couples as these two seats lie closest to each other. Conversely, these central seats are probably ones to avoid as a single traveler.
The best First Class seats
I think Seats 2A and 2K are the best First Class seats on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner because you are looking over or around the passenger in front rather than having a wall in front of you. This means that there is slightly more to look at when you are bored. I have chosen A and K as I always like a window seat, it makes me feel more connected to the outside, and I find cloud formations strangely soothing.
The worst First Class seats
The middle seats are the worst for me as they have no windows. 1E and 1F have no window and a wall in front of them, so they are my least favorite first-class seats on the British Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
