Book A Hotel

For centuries, Paris has been beckoning romantics, lovers, writers, and artists into its many unique districts surrounded by the meandering River Seine. It offers a noble charm and chic style almost impossible to match in any other European city, as well as hundreds of places to stay, from bijou little boutique hotels through to grand five-star luxury hotels. Travel to Paris is quick and easy with flights as cheap as you are willing to go or the more sedate Eurostar and of course the option of traveling by road.

Location

One way to properly experience Paris is by immersing yourself in a truly unique one-of-a-kind French boutique hotel and my latest pick is the Hôtel Eugène en Ville situated in the 9th Parisian district. This area boasts numerous places of cultural, historical, and architectural interest, including the Palais Garnier (the home of the Paris Opera) and Boulevard Haussmann with its impressive department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.

Style & Character

This contemporary boutique four-star hotel is located right in the beating heart of Paris, between Montmartre and Opera. Perfectly blending quintessential Parisian style, charm, contemporary design, and comfort together, this hotel and its staff offer guests a warm and friendly welcome. All the communal areas offer a quirky charm with unique décor, artwork, and rough stone walls mixed with plenty of curious and object d’art to keep your attention for hours. Fantastical candelabra pop up around the corners, mixed in with exhibit pieces, rich carpeting, and magnificent lighting features.

Rooms

The 66 rooms and suites in this refurbished hotel come in all shapes and sizes and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Classic Rooms are simple yet stylish and filled with quirky art and caricatures adorning the walls as well as comfy beds, iPod dock, safe, LED TV with 64 multilingual channels, desk, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, bathroom with bath or shower, and complimentary mineral water (note: there is also the option of a Single Room for guests traveling alone).

The more spacious Superior Rooms offer added luxury and the benefit of your own private terrace, a big comfortable bed (queen or king size), a bathroom, and robes. Finally, the Deluxe Rooms are the most spacious and luxurious, with everything the Superior Rooms offer, VIP amenities and a Nespresso coffee machine.

If you want to avoid any street noise, then the rooms at the back of the hotel would be best. The hotel also offers a concierge service, room service, a massage lounge, and a small business center for up to 15 people.

Service & Facilities

There are so many great places to visit in Paris, from the obvious Eiffel Tower, The Palaces of Versailles, the Arc De Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral, to name but a few. Conveniently, the hotel is in a great central location and just 10 minute’s walk from the Louvre, Boulevard Haussmann and less than a couple of minutes walk from the nearest metro station, so all of the sights are within easy reach. I would recommend a cruise down the Seine to take in the city from the water and a Chateau wine tasting (or two!).

Conclusion

This thoroughly unique Parisian hotel could have walked right off the pages of an Alice in Wonderland novel with all of its curious charm, and it’s sure to play an important part in creating a special and lasting memory of this magnificent city.
