Como Hotels & Resorts has opened its first luxury hotel in Australia, Como The Treasury in Perth. The hotel was designed by Singapore-based Kerry Hill Architects and opened on October 15 2015.
Located in Perth’s Central Business District within the new artisanal precinct called the Cathedral Square Development, this luxury hotel occupies state buildings dating from the mid 19th century. these buildings sat unused for about 20 years.
COMO The Treasury is a 48 room contemporary luxury hotel with new experiences by way of two restaurants, a bar and world renowned COMO Shambhala wellness therapies. This hotel provides an excellent, elegant, restful base from which to explore the outback, beach and forests that can be found in Western Australia.
Rooms and suites feature king-sized beds, handcrafted bespoke European furniture and large windows. En-suite bathrooms feature free-standing bathtubs, twin vanities, stone tiles and heated floors. Wildflower is the property’s fine-dining restaurant and serves a menu showcasing contemporary cuisine made with West Australian produce. Post serves modern Australian dishes with a French influence and The Treasury Lounge and Bar serves afternoon tea each weekend.
There is also an indoor heated swimming pool and Como Shambhala Urban Escape, which offers holistic therapies and a wellness centre for yoga and Pilates.
