Book A Hotel

The island of Spetses is just a three-hour drive from Athens airport and is a hang out of Athenian A-list and a pausing point for megayachts in the region. This is the Greek answer to the Cote d ‘Azur and this tiny island offers a mix of stylish designer boutiques, luxury hotels and villas, and sparkling Mediterranean views.

The iconic Poseidonion Grand Hotel, is an aristocratic summer residence worthy of the most luxury of traveler. Conveniently located in Dapia Port on the island of Spetses island, you can spend hours strolling around the old harbor. Steeped in history, the town is fronted by a row of coast-hugging mansions built by wealthy ship-owners after the War of Independence. Once you have absorbed the history, join the locals for a coffee in one of the many coffee shops. The island’s organic garden, at the top of the hill, is worth a visit and wear off the fine dining on a trek along the island’s coastal paths.

Review Of The Poseidonion Grand Hotel
Located on the waterfront, this historic residence has been beautifully refurbished offering a combination of grand halls and sweeping staircases. The two buildings of Poseidonion Grand Hotel provide luxurious rooms and impressive suites, most with private garden or balconies. Rooms are ultra-modern, decorated in cream hues. Rooms upstairs in the main building have high ceilings, extravagant but modern bathrooms and ornate balconies that look out over Dapia Port and the sparking sea, where you can watch distant ferries and superyachts go by.

Best Rooms At The The Poseidonion Grand Hotel
Choose a room either in the historical or in the new wing of the hotel. Both have modern amenities. We like the Pool Suite, which comes with a small garden, plunge pool, and ocean vistas. Some Superior Garden View rooms in the new wing also offer a lovely garden to sit out in. It is worth splashing out on a room with the glittering panoramic vista.

Restaurant & Bar
The intimate candlelit Library Bar is the perfect place for a light bite and to try out local wines, grappas, and apéritifs. 1+1 gourmet restaurants offer a delicious choice of evening dining options. A highlight is Greek staples with a sushi twist on the Veranda. The seafood is caught in the waters in front of the hotel. There are also plenty of good restaurants a short walk away by the harbor, serving an array of Italian, Greek, and fish dishes.

Breakfast is served outside on tables shaded by parasols and overlooking the piazza and the sea.

Pool
The stylish pool is flanked by modern decking and is a great place to lounge under the shade of the enormous palm trees. Laze engulfed in the scent of lavender while dipping your toes in the main pool, or enjoy the plunge pool beside the spa with sea views.

Spa
This hotel was the first in Greece to offer its guests spa treatments. Try the Ila detoxifying body renewal scrub, the Ananda Facial, and the Royal Poseidonion Massage—these treatments will make you feel like a god or goddess!
