Ahh, the New Forest, a place to enjoy a Miss Marple style England, made up of village greens, pub lunches in the sunshine, gurgling brooks shaded by willows and wild ponies that cause traffic jams by munching the roadside greenery. To say the New Forest is idyllic is an understatement.
Right in the very centre of the New Forest is a little village called Brockenhurst, usefully located on the mainline to London and surrounded by New Forest woodland and heathland.
