For some winter sun without having to take a long-haul flight, Marrakech is a great option. A captivating city with historical sites to explore and the fascinating ‘souk’ markets to browse, shop, barter and ultimately get totally lost in! For luxury accommodation, the Adam Park Hotel & Spa is certainly worth checking out; situated in the upscale district of Agdal, it is just 2km from Agdal Gardens and 3km from both the El Badi Palace and the Saadian Tombs. Flights from London take just 3 hours and 40 minutes and both Ryanair and Easyjet fly the route.
Hotel
The hotel has 3 restaurants, an outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre and a bar. The décor is classy and luxurious with a French feel and subtle Moroccan touches. The service is professional and friendly; the manager likes to take time to greet guests and the personal touch goes a long way.
Rooms
There are a range of room types, standard and deluxe rooms and then two types of suites; all the rooms have either a patio or a balcony and either pool or garden views. The rooms and suites all include as standard en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, safe, flat screen cable TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The standard rooms are 35 m² and the deluxe rooms 55 m² and also include a dining area and kitchenette. The Pacha Suites are a very spacious 88 m² but the elegant Prestigue Suites would definitely be my choice; at 82 m² but with its own private hamman, outdoor dining area and rain showers, they have those extra luxury touches which make a big difference to me.
Restaurants & Bars
There 3 restaurants; a continental buffet-style breakfast is served in one in a beautiful Art Deco-designed space, there is also an Italian restaurant, Traviata which is open for lunch and dinner and offers seating on the terrace overlooking the pool, while the third, Sidi Bibi, serves delicious Moroccan specialities and is also open for both lunch and dinner. Don’t miss the omelettes at breakfast and the French influence means the crepes are delicious and a must-try too! The Sinatra Bar also has an Art Deco vibe as well as being adorned with large photos of Frank Sinatra; this is a rather cool, chilled place to hang out and listen to jazz while enjoying a cocktail.
Pool & Activities
There is a large pool with plenty of comfortable sunbeds surrounding it, perfect for cooling off after a busy day sightseeing and shopping. The spa is a spacious 700 m² and includes four Jacuzzi, three saunas, four Hammans as well as seven treatment rooms and a well-equipped fitness centre. There is also a Kids Club which is great if you want some peace while lounging by the pool and working on that winter tan! You are well placed to explore Marrakech; the Jemaa El Fna Square is a 10-minute drive from the hotel and El Badi Palace is 7 minutes. A shuttle service is laid on to take guests to the square and runs at least 3 times a day.
Insider Info
The rooms that overlook the inner gardens are very peaceful.
So, for a luxurious break in a fascinating city with some gorgeous winter sunshine, Marrakech and Adam Park Hotel & Spa rather tick all the boxes.
