Inspired by tree-tops, the villas at the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles are elevated above the lush hillside to provide awe-inspiring views over the bays and coves of the west shore of Mahe.
Location
The hotel is nestled into a forested hillside on the island of Mahé, looking down upon the horseshoe-shaped bay of Petite Anse.
Style & Character
This luxury hotel is set up a steep hillside, so all the facilities can be found on different levels, and golf buggies are used to transport you out to your stilted villa or down to the beach. The buggies are a fun way to get around, but the fact that you are up such a steep hill is problematic if you want to step out from your room and onto the beach.
Rooms
Sixty-seven villas offer a private sanctuary perched on stilts high above the jungle below. Sitting areas open onto a massive wraparound deck, offering luxurious day beds, dining areas, and infinity-edge pools for wonderful sunset views. Opulent Four Seasons-styled bathrooms are connected to between one and six bedrooms.
Hilltop Ocean View Villas are spacious and set above the island’s granite terrain, with undisturbed and unforgettable panoramic views. Ocean View Villas are similar but are closer to the shoreline, these villas feature beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. Garden View Villas are the most suitable choice for families with children. Set in the rainforest, they are just steps from the shoreline and feature stunning views of the island’s lush tropical surroundings and lagoon. It is worth noting that the Three-Bedroom Royal Suite features unrivaled views of the Indian Ocean and the white sands of Petite Anse Beach and is the only suite with direct private access to the beach.
Service & Facilities
The infinity swimming pool is gorgeous, there’s a stunning hilltop spa, a techno gym, a library, two restaurants serving international and locally influenced cuisine, two bars, in-villa dining, and a fantastic scuba diving/water sports center.
The recreation and water sports pavilion is located close to the beach and offers a range of activities, including kayaking, snorkeling, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, paddle boating, boogie boarding, Scuba diving, and big-game fishing.
Food & Drink
The resort features multiple dining options, each offering a unique culinary experience. Buffet breakfast is in the open-air ZEZ restaurant with stunning views. After breakfast, guests can enjoy a menu featuring fresh seafood, grilled meats, and local ingredients. The open-air terrace provides a stunning backdrop for a memorable dining experience.
Kannel restaurant overlooks the resort’s stunning infinity pool. The menu features dishes inspired by international cuisine, including wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and grilled specialties.
Koi Bar is located near the resort’s infinity pool and is a great spot to unwind and enjoy refreshing drinks and light snacks. Guests can choose from a variety of cocktails, freshly squeezed juices, and a selection of sushi.
Finally, Zez Lounge is the perfect place to relax with a pre-dinner drink or enjoy a nightcap.
Conclusion
You will remember this resort for the scent of the frangipani trees that fills the rooms, the idyllic white sand beaches, and the glass-like sea that will tempt you away from your tree-top nest. If you want a two-center holiday, why not also pop into the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island also in the Seychelles.
