Book A Hotel

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are the two main British airlines that fly from North America to Europe, between New York and London, along with a number of other American cities. Both airlines feature in our top 10 best airlines for long-haul Business Class and we have also compared them directly in my best transatlantic airline for Business: British Airways Vs. Virgin Atlantic. In a nutshell, when comparing Virgin’s Upper Class to British Airways Club Class, Upper Class wins in almost every respect.

The Clubhouse lounge is fun and has better food than BA’s Galleries lounges. If you want privacy and direct aisle access, Virgin also wins. Although it is worth re-highlighting that if you are travelling in a couple or as a family, you will probably prefer the layout in British Airways, assuming you want to see your family or other half! Virgin’s onboard food offering is more generous, the seat is more comfortable for sleeping, and it has an onboard bar.

Below you will find our most recent flight reviews on Virgin Atlantic in Business Class and Premium Economy – you can draw your own conclusions on their Business Class product.

In this trip report I review Virgin Atlantic in Upper Class. My flight flew from London Heathrow Terminal 3 To San Francisco and an Airbus A340-600. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class features in our top 10 best airlines for longhaul Business Class. Compare this flight with my other Virgin Atlantic flight reviews. Upper Class is equivalent to Business Class on other airlines (even though it sounds more like First Class!). We have compared British Airways Club World Vs. Virgin Upper Class so you can decide which Business Class product you prefer when traveling transatlantic.

Review Of Virgin Atlantic B747 In Upper Class

Reviews

Virgin Atlantic fly their B747 from London Gatwick to the popular holiday and wedding destination, Barbados. When you travel in Upper Class on this flight, you’ll be kicking off your holiday in luxury and style. Compare this flight with my other Virgin Atlantic flight reviews. Upper Class is, of course, the name Virgin Atlantic gives to their Business Class. On the B747, the main deck houses the Upper Class suites whilst premium economy and more economy seats are on the upper deck.

Flight Review: Premium Economy On Virgin Atlantic 787 Dreamliner

Reviews

In this trip report, I review Premium Economy on Virgin Atlantic's new Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner on a flight from London Heathrow to Newark in New York. This flight flew out of London Heathrow Terminal Terminal 3. You can read all our Virgin Premium Economy flight reviews in this collated guide. If you have a Priority Pass, you will get access to the Club Aspire Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3, but you will not get access to the Virgin Clubhouse Lounge at Heathrow. You need to be traveling in their Business or "Upper Class" to get access to this lounge.
