Location
The hotel is conveniently situated close to the city centre, making it the ideal location to base yourself whether you’re visit is for work or pleasure, or a bit of both. Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is just a 15-minute drive from the hotel and direct flights from London with Lufthansa, British Airways or AirBerlin take just an hour and a half. Style & Character
The exterior of this former hunting lodge welcomes you with fountains, pillars and a grand wrap-around façade. Part of the uniqueness of the hotel comes from the mix of the old and new; newly renovated rooms and suites with the latest technology sit comfortably with view of the stunning, calming garden and private lake. The European flair for style is evident throughout; sophisticated, chic and with a hint of art deco.
Service & Facilities
The country club and 2000 m² spa offer the height of relaxation; choose from the heated outdoor pool with an idyllic lake view or the heavenly indoor pool with a starry sky ceiling; relax on a poolside-lounger and be served a chilled beverage and delicious nibbles prepared by the chef. After your dip there are seven saunas, a relax area and the Lounge, or workout in the well-equipped gym or the separate yoga studio, and finally indulge in relaxing treatment in one of the 7 treatment rooms; the specialised massage techniques come highly recommended. There are also four tennis hall-courts and ten outside courts and a personal trainer available. The meeting and event facilities here are exceptional; 18 function rooms, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, concierge, translation and secretarial services and a full business centre. The service here is extremely effective, they basically aim to spoil you and rarely fall short!
Rooms
There are 225 rooms including 38 suites; standard room amenities include a flatscreen TV with free Sky Sport channels, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, a laptop-sized safe, 24-hour room service and complimentary Wi-Fi. For rooms, choose from Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms or Grand Deluxe Rooms; they are all beautiful, newly-renovated, luxurious rooms but the Suites are more appropriate for the discerning traveller. The Junior Suites, Park Suites, Executive Suites and Presidential Suite all have their own unique charm and style; personally, the Junior Suites in the green with the lake view would get my vote but personal taste is very much respected here.
Food & Drink
I rather love places where dining is the star of the show and the Kempinski Hotel certainly falls into this category; there are 3 excellent restaurants and a bar with a grand lake view. The Michelin-starred SRA BUA by Juan Amador offers excellent fine dining with euro-Asian cuisine and a first-class service. Restaurant EssTisch serves international cuisine prepared with regional ingredients in an elegant space and Torschaenke restaurant offers a wonderful hideaway in a sensual atmosphere serving regional specialities. The K-Lounge lobby bar serves a fabulous range international cocktails, high-quality spirits and refreshing beers; if it’s chilly pick a seat near the huge fireplace, but if the sun is shining, the terrace with its wintergarden and lake views is the place to be. Next to K-Lounge is SMOKER’S 100, which invites you to relish a good cigar, again pick your spot from the indoor lounge or spacious outdoor terrace.
