We have reviewed Delta One, which is Delta’s new long-haul Business Class product, along with Delta Airlines Premium Select which is their new Premium Economy offering.

American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta are the three main North American airlines, and all three have recently launched a new, upgraded business class soft and hard product with improved seats, food, and service. Elsewhere we discuss in more detail which of these new Business Class Suites is best.

The new Delta One Business Class Suite will be available on Delta’s new Airbus A350. The suite is a smaller and less luxury (but more affordable) version of the popular Etihad A380 First apartments. This private suite design undoubtedly copies the concept of the suites that originated in First Class.

Each Delta One (Business Class) seat features a sliding door that delivers total privacy and transforms the space into a fully enclosed suite. The new suite will also include storage compartments for shoes, headphones, and laptops, a universal power outlet and USB port, and an 18-inch in-flight entertainment monitor. The seat becomes a flatbed for sleeping, which will be covered in a memory foam mattress and the airline’s signature Westin Heavenly bedding.

Delta Airlines has also launched its A350, and the new premium economy product on its A350 aircraft is now circulated on their Detroit – Tokyo Narita route.

Below, you will find our most recent review of Delta One Business Class and Delta One Premium Select- you can draw your own conclusions.

Delta is the oldest airline in the USA and is the world’s second-largest airline in terms of scheduled passengers carried, revenue per passenger per mile flown, and fleet size (after American Airlines). Delta’s fleet includes almost 900 aircraft and is known for its policy of generally buying older generation or used aircraft and for continuing to fly aircraft for 20-30 years, much longer than most other major airlines. As such, it has one of the oldest fleets of any American airline, with an average fleet age of 16.3 years.

Delta Air Lines is the first airline to offer an all-suite Business Class product. The suite is a smaller and less luxurious (but more affordable) version of the popular Etihad A380 First apartments.
