Location
Bracken Burrows is nestled right in heart of the East Riding, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. The area is known for its amazing chalk landscapes with dry valleys and stunning wildlife which sit alongside vibrant market towns and ancient villages. There are plenty of stunning walks and trails to follow as well as a long-distance cycle route which passes right outside, connecting Dover and the Shetland Islands via the East Coast of England and Scotland! You are also near the stunning walled city of York which has some fabulous boutiques if you fancy a bit of shopping!
Style & Character
The collection of pods are beautifully rustic and staying in one is a charming way to experience nature. You are surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds.
Service & Facilities
The pods themselves are immaculately clean and house all the mod cons that you need to make your stay comfortable with real (and very comfortable!) beds and all your bedding and towels provided. There’s a log burning stove to make chilly evenings nice and cosy and outside you have a private decking area with seating and a BBQ and fire pit; cue total relaxation as you watch the sunset with a chilled glass in your hand.
You receive a very warm welcome from your hosts and the service continues to be excellent during your stay. Sometimes you are left very much to your own devices on glamping sites but here your hosts Nick and Lucy are definitely on hand if you need anything at all. Dogs are very much welcomed here too, and indeed they will receive their own welcome in the shape of the four-legged hosts; Alf, Digby, Rupert, Kit and Jinx! Your dog can stay in the pod or can even be kennelled in dog-friendly stable accommodation.
Rooms
There are three stylish pods on this intimate, boutique site; Tommy sleeps 2 adults and Oso and Muffin both sleep 4 adults.
Food & Drink
Your pod includes a small kitchen with a microwave, fridge, hob, coffee machine and kettle so a degree of self-catering is definitely possible. To make your stay that bit more special I’d definitely recommend taking full advantage of their generous Arrival Hampers that can be pre-ordered. Choose from the Rise & Shine breakfast hamper, Grown-Up Hamper with treats for the adults including Prosecco, cheeses and chutney, the BBQ Hamper or the perfect combination of all three, the Thumper Hamper! Of course, you are in Yorkshire and so are surrounded by wonderful English pubs, it would almost be rude not to sample several and there’s a great selection locally that serve delicious food and traditionally brewed ales, ask your hosts for their favourites.
