If you are trying to boost your tier points to achieve British Airways Bronze, Silver & Gold status, it is useful to know which British Airways European routes earn the most tier points.

The most tier points that you can currently earn on a Club Europe or Business Class route within Europe are 160 tier points for a return flight (80 each way). A quick flight in Club Class is, in fact, often the cheapest and easiest way to earn extra tier points to achieve the next level of your status.

In order to achieve status, you need to have flown two return flights paid with cash on British Airways. You cannot earn status purely by flying on partner airlines like American Airlines.

You get 160 tier points flying from London to all of these destinations in Club Europe; Athens, Algiers, Bucharest, Catania, Chania, Corfu, Dalaman, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Helsinki, Heraklion, Crete, Istanbul, Kalamata, Kiev, Kos, Lanzarote, Larnaca, Madeira, Malta, Marrakech, Mykonos, Paphos, Reykjavik, Rhodes, Santorini, Sofia, St Petersburg, Tenerife, Thessaloniki, Tirana.

Malta, Marrakech, and Thessaloniki are some of the cheapest destinations to fly to within Europe whilst earning these essential tier points. We often (and currently) have stays in both Marrakech and Thessaloniki up for grabs in our Luxury Travel Auctions, so you can earn tier points and enjoy a bargain stay at either of these destinations!

If you can travel beyond Europe, one of the best ways to achieve Silver Status quickly in the British Airways Executive Club is to book a Qatar Airways sale flight to Asia. Tickets from Europe to Asia can sell for as little as £1,000 GBP in Business Class in a Qatar Airways sale, and you might even get to try out their new QSuite (pictured above). These flights earn you 560 tier points return due to the change of plane in Doha. This works out as 90% of the points required (600) for a British Airways Executive Club Silver card. Note that you also need to have flown 4 British Airways one-way flights in your current membership year before you are promoted to Silver. These tickets offer a particularly good and cheap route to BA tier points and thus Silver Status.

Why Would You Want To Achieve Silver Status?

Silver members get free access to British Airways Airport Lounges along with complimentary fast track through security. Both of these perks have huge value for frequent fliers.

Other perks include:

If you are a Silver Status member with British Airways, you get these perks even if you then travel in Euro Traveller Economy, World Traveller Economy, or World Traveller Plus which is the British Airways Premium Economy.
