I have flown with Norwegian Airlines a number of times and have reviewed their long-haul Economy and Premium Economy flights. My trip reports can be found below.
Norwegian Airlines comes at the top in my listing of the best 10 Premium Economy airlines in the world.
We like the massive 46 inch legroom, free drinks, free food, Priority boarding, superb recline of their seats with lots of legroom, and their new fleet of lovely long-haul Dreamliners. Premium Economy also comes with complimentary pre-flight access to the No1 Lounge in Gatwick and similar lounges at other airports.
The Norwegian loyalty program is Norwegian Rewards. A PremiumFlex seat costing around £1,200 GBP plus taxes will earn 20% of this price in cashpoints which means receiving credit towards future flights of £246 GBP.
Currently, Norwegian Airlines offers long-haul flights to/from U.S., Thailand, Singapore, and the Caribbean.
Below you will find my most recent flight reviews on Norwegian Airlines in Economy and Premium Economy; you can draw your own conclusions.
Norwegian Airlines Flight Reviews
Norwegian Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner Premium Economy Review
Norwegian Airlines flies Boeing 787 Dreamliners for its long-haul transatlantic routes and offers a Business Class that is better than the Premium Economy offered by the likes of British Airways (read our review of British Airways Premium Economy), but that is not as good as the Business Class (or Club World) products offered by the major carriers. This intermediate product, described by Norwegian as "Business Class in the 1990s" (similar to domestic first within the US), offers larger seats in a separate cabin from economy but not lie-flat seats.
Norwegian B737-800 Short-Haul Economy Class Review
Norwegian Airlines is Europe’s third largest low-cost carrier and currently offers flights to 76 destinations. Norwegian Airlines is also the UK’s only direct low-cost airline offering flights to the U.S on the Dreamliner which we've reviewed. Short-haul routes use the B737-800, which is reviewed below. In this trip report, I review Norwegian Airlines in Economy as it does not offer Business Class on its B737-800 (unlike its Dreamliner). You can book economy seats on their website and you need to pay £7 - £25 GBP to reserve a seat, or you will automatically be assigned one for free.
