The Santa Margherita Palaca is a seaside commune in the Metropolitan City of Genoa, and just 40 minutes from Genoa Airport.
Set on the Gulf of Tigullio between Rapallo and Portofino, this pretty fishing town is a stylish base for your holiday, just 3 miles up the same coast from Portofino.
The Santa Margherita Ligure lifestyle centers around a lovely palm-laden harbour, where you can go boating or sun yourself at a cafe.
Location
Just a few metres from the main square, you will find the newly built Hotel Santa Margherita Palace, a luxurious boutique property ideally positioned to soak up the atmosphere of this charming town.
The hotel is usefully just 100 yards from the train station and just 3 minutes walk from a beautiful beach. The is also a historic old town and the Basilica of Santa Margherita of Antiochia within walking distance. The Abbey of Cervara is also a few kilometres down the road on the way to Portofino.
Service & Facilities
If you like sports, the hotel’s reception can arrange rounds of golf or tennis matches at Rapallo, or book boat trips on the coast. If you prefer to laze, you can relax in the hotel’s lounge bar.
You can also enjoy of the Spa and Wellness centre, which has a sauna, a Turkish bath, and invigoration showers, along with a range of treatments and massages.
There is also a good, safe car park for guests.
Rooms
Rooms are modern, stylish and luxurious, equipped with a large LCD TV. Our room tip is that 404 has a Jacuzzi on its own private balcony.
If breakfast is included in your room, you will be delighted by the array of bread, fruits, muesli, cheese and eggs. Delicious!
