American Airlines Vs Delta Vs United: Who Has The Best Business Class Seats

When choosing an airline to fly with, if you are paying for Business Class, you need to compare who has the best Business Class Seats; American Airlines Vs. Delta Vs. United?

American is investing in its domestic fleet, adding seat power, bigger overhead bins, and high-speed internet at the same time as they’re stuffing more seats in.

Who Has The Best Business Class Seats?

American Airline’s business class seats are currently better than the United or Delta equivalent Business Class seats. This will change as Delta retrofits its fleet with new Delta One Suites. Deltas’ new Delta One Business Class, which is a walled cocoon, can be experienced on its Airbus A350. This new seat will also be rolled out on its Boeing 777. The low doors give a decent level of privacy, although their low height means you will still be able to see taller passengers as they walk past.

In the meantime, American’s direct aisle access fully flat seats are better than the flat seats Delta currently offers. The current AA seat is the B/E Aerospace Super Diamond seat.

It is worth noting that this seat is also better than the Club World seats on British Airways, which are narrow with thin cushions and don’t offer direct aisle access. So if you are traveling transatlantic to Europe, it is worth choosing American Airlines over British Airways in Business Class.

The United Polaris Business Class Pods are laid out in a staggered arrangement in the cabin and offer direct aisle access without taking up more room than United’s older seats. This United seat is a great seat, but it’s not as comfortable or spacious as American’s Super Diamond seat.

Sadly the reality of the United product is not as good as it originally seemed. The planned rollout has slowed, with the new Boeing 777-300ERs being kitted out with the new seats, but United has only retrofitted the new seats into 5 of their existing planes. The Chicago Polaris Lounge was great, but it is the only Polaris lounge that has opened. The new Saks Fifth Avenue bedding is in place for now, but the volume of pillows and blankets is diminishing, and other amenities are slowly disappearing too.

Conclusion

Given a choice, when choosing between American, United, and Delta in Business Class for long-haul flights, American is the best choice. That said, Delta’s new Delta One suites, which are currently only available on their A350 planes, will be a game-changer and make flying Delta in Business a great choice as long as you can snag a plane with these new seats.
