In this trip report, I include all my KLM European Economy Class or “Coach” flight reviews. If you travel around Europe on KLM, you may well be impressed by the offering when compared to the equivalent on British Airways.
My last European coach flight was on the KLM Cityhopper from Southampton to Amsterdam. The plane was a brand new Embraer 175 and was clean and compact. Seats were 2×2 in Economy and Business. Unlike European Business Class on British Airways, your seating looked to be identical on KLM in European Business as in the Economy section, although I would have expected the food to be slightly better.
The air hosts were excellent and we were thrilled to be offered a moist Madeira cake (going back was a tasty egg and salad wrap) and a drink, even though we were only travelling in Economy. This is a vast improvement on British Airways which has removed it’s Economy food and drink altogether. The drink could even be alcoholic; beer and wine were available along with a choice of soft drinks and coffee and tea.
Below you will find my most recent flight reviews of KLM European Economy Class, you can draw your own conclusions.
Recently, we also flew and reviewed KLM long-haul in Business Class. This kind of experience is out of reach of your average traveller, but a free upgrade is achievable with a bit of effort.
