A chic hideaway on a stunning Greek island is the stuff of dreams but those dreams can become a reality at the beautiful Xenon Estate Resort on the trendy Island of Spetses in Greece.
Location
To reach your Greek hideaway simply hop on a flight to Athens and catch a ferry to the serene, historic Island of Spetses. The island is an affluent and popular destination where cars are banned from large areas so the preferred form of transport is a romantic horse and carriage. You’ll find the estate tucked on the eastern side of the island hidden away on a green hill just a kilometre from the town’s main port of Dapia. You are a 10-minute walk from the nearest beach.
Style & Character
The Xenon Estate is a beautiful and exclusive resort with just three luxurious villas on the site. Built to reflect the traditional architecture of the island the villas are charming. Inside they are sophisticated with minimal décor and a clean white finish.
Service & Facilities
Between the three villas up to 17 guests can stay, it would work extremely well with a group of family or friends travelling together as you could literally take over the entire place. It’s also just as suitable for a romantic break just the two of you and feels very private. The resort boasts the island’s largest swimming pool (17m x 9m) which is surrounded by a large terrace and gardens with plenty of sunny and shady spots in which to relax. From your hillside position you benefit from astonishing panoramic views of the sea looking across to the mainland.
The service is exceptional here; the housekeeper keeps the place pristine and your hosts will very happily help with any bookings or assist with ordering food, making recommendations and generally making sure that you have a fabulous time!
Villas
Choosing between the three elegant villas is luckily made easier as they all sleep different numbers of people! Althea sleeps 6 people across 3 bedrooms, Astraea is the largest and sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms and Lethe, the real romantic option, sleeps 3 (though we’d have to recommend 2 for the romance factor!) and has one bedroom. They are fully equipped with all the amenities you would expect with luxury travel including some thoughtful extras such as separate pool towels and a full range of cleansing and beauty products made from natural, local ingredients, by the Greek company Korres. All the villas have stunning terraces with those wonderful sea views; don’t miss the spectacular sunsets from your own terrace. Dine al fresco on your veranda and sunbathe or your private terrace or head to the pool for a cooling swim; basically, revel in your little bit of Greek paradise.
Food & Drink
Your villa is stocked with selected food and beverages, a continental breakfast is available and if you really want to be looked after, they can arrange for a chef to cook in your beautiful kitchen and cater all or some of your meals. The island is very cosmopolitan and the tavernas and restaurants are open from lunch until late; start here (ask your hosts to book for you) then head to the many bars and party until the sun comes up.
