A beautiful boutique hotel in Crete is all I need to relax this summer; book a room at Pepi Boutique Hotel and count down to when you’ll be lying by the pool soaking up the Greek sunshine.

Location

The hotel is tucked on a leafy side street in the very heart of the old Venetian town of Rethymno in Crete, Greece’s largest island. Rethymno is located on the north coast of Crete and is much loved for its picturesque old town, streets lined with tavernas and historic sites. The hotel’s excellent locations puts you a 10 minute walk from the town’s sandy beach and surrounded by shopping boutiques, museums, and cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel lies 66km from Chania International Airport.

Style & Character

The 19th-century building that houses that hotel was originally one of the oldest public primary schools of Europe. There is a real sense of history and character about the place and although the interiors are chic and stylish, a certain rustic air remains.

Service & Facilities

Coming back to the hotel after a happy day spent wandering the streets of Rethymno is lovely; head to the charming courtyard with its tranquil garden filled with lemon trees, palm trees and fragrant herbs and take a refreshing dip in the small outdoor swimming pool. It’s an adults-only hotel so that tranquil peace will be undisturbed.
The service here is as delightful as the hotel itself! Everyone seems to have a smile all the time, they are very helpful and efficient and do everything they can to make your stay a special one.

Rooms

There are just 13 Rooms, 3 Maisonettes and 2 Suites in this intimate hotel, all of which have been recently refurbished and include a kitchenette and a patio or balcony. There’s also lots of welcome extras such as an espresso machine, beach towels, a Smart TV and a dining table. All the rooms are beautiful but discerning guests should consider the Junior Suite or Suite; both offer that bit more luxury and space, gorgeous high vaulted ceilings, the best views and the bedrooms are in a separate loft area; very romantic.

Food & Drink

A delicious Cretan breakfast is served to set you up for the day with a buffet spread and hot options too as well as a separate vegan menu. The hotel also serves a range of salads and freshly made pasta dishes come brunch or lunchtime. The bar is a real highlight here! The hotel has its own wine cellar filled with fine wines, Greek wines and some Cretan vine pedigrees. Sample the wines, a cocktail or even just a coffee alongside some antipasti, olives and goats’ cheese and soak up the last rays of sunshine. You can sit in the gardens or the bar extends right onto the vibrant paved market street of Tsouderon if you fancy a little people watching.
