Hot off the press, you can now collect and spend Hyatt Points at Small Luxury Hotels of The World!
They say, “Thanks to a new relationship with Small Luxury Hotels of The World™ (SLH), you will soon be able to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points for eligible stays at participating SLH hotels. Additionally, qualifying nights at SLH hotels will count toward your World of Hyatt tier status. All you have to do is book your qualifying stay through Hyatt channels”.
Why Is This Interesting?
Previously, you could only redeem your Hyatt points at Hyatt hotels, which tend to skew to city and business locations. Now you will be able to spend them on stays at resorts and at ski hotels. We have outlined just some of the best Small Luxury Hotels in the world.
SLH hotels are located in St Tropez. See our review of Villa Belrose, which is pictured above, There is a hotel in Monte Carlo along with a bunch of ski hotels in Austria and Switzerland.
The clincher is how they allocate the redemption pricing when they rank these hotels. For example, will each hotel have a set pricing, or will it be tiered according to whether you are in or out of the main season? We won’t know this until the end of the year.
