Gastronomy lovers rejoice, We’ve stumbled across a real foodie gem! The Hotel Hesperia Madrid lies tucked in Madrid and boasts three exceptional restaurants, each with offers something rather special. Combine this with contemporary luxury and excellent service and you have my kind of hotel.
Location
The five star hotel is located in the very heart of the city of Madrid in Spain. It has the pleasure of being located on the city’s most chic avenue: the Paseo de la Castellana, in the business and cultural hub. You are surrounded by exclusive boutiques with a metro station just a minutes walk away and so are perfectly located to explore this dynamic, cosmopolitan and historic city.
Food & Drink
The hotel is a gastronomical destination in its own right. The stand out dining option simply has to be the intimate, achingly stylish, two Michelin star Santceloni Restaurant. The exquisite cuisine by renowned chef Oscar Velasco is complimented by impeccable service and it’s no exaggeration to say it’s one of the very best restaurants in Madrid. Feast on sophisticated yet simple dishes that highlight the very best of Spain.
For a more informal dining experience, try La Manzana which serves fresh market Mediterranean cuisine in an airy interior courtyard. And don’t miss the Hikari Sushi Bar for a taste of Japan where the beautiful dishes are prepared on the spot. Drink doesn’t miss out her either; the wine pairings from the wine cellar at Santceloni are perfection and there’s also the Scotch Bar in the lobby which offers over 70 different whiskeys.
Style & Character
The hotel, which is part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts and NH Hotel Group, has a wonderful contemporary luxury that is perfect for luxury travellers. The interior deco (completed by several of Spain’s top interior designers) is beautiful; sleek, chic with more than a hint of glamour.
Service & Facilities
Service here has a genuinely personal approach but they also manage to be totally professional and efficient. They make you feel like a VIP and seem to answer yes to your every request! The facilities here are first class: the SkyGym may be small but it’s very well equipped and offers a fabulous Madrid skyline view, there’s a massage room, a gift shop and unusually for your central location – parking. There’s also a myriad of services designed to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible: a laundry service, a butler service, shoe polishing, a sewing service, a florist, transfers, car rental, personal shoppers, concierge and beauty and specialized treatments are all available!
Rooms
There are 171 elegant rooms including 32 stunning suites. The standard rooms, while still beautiful, have queen sized beds, all the rest have king sized. You can enjoy all the typical luxury traveller amenities plus marble bathrooms – all with bathtubs, minibars, desks and Nespresso machines. A suite upgrade gets you a separate living area and some also have vast terraces with an outdoor hot tub from which to soak up your panoramic city view – well worth an upgrade in my opinion.
