The next time you’re in Dubai, take a break from your usual beach days, shopping, and partying to do something a bit different; try a unique culinary experience and enjoy delicious gourmet food and a fabulous cooking class at the rather wonderful Culinary Boutique Cafe.
About The Culinary Boutique
The café is situated in the very heart of Jumeirah in Dubai. It’s a great spot to meet up with friends for a bite to eat in stylish surroundings and offers excellent cooking classes too. It caters to 125 people and has a relaxed and welcoming vibe that befits the trendy surroundings nicely. The café offers a unique culinary experience that will enthuse gourmet cuisine lovers and cooking enthusiasts alike. It has no pretensions and offers something for everyone.
The owners recognized something that was missing in Dubai and wanted to create an opportunity for foodies and cooking enthusiasts somewhere to relax and socialize but also enjoy great cookery classes. The café was created by Emirati entrepreneur Hessa Al Qassim, who was part of the Dubai cookery school, Top Chef and who also owns a luxury tailor store. At The Culinary Boutique, he combines that passion for gourmet cuisine with an eye for design and style.
Style, Character & Service
The exterior resembles a gorgeous villa and you can dine inside or alfresco in the sunshine. The interior is as sublime as the food itself. Very contemporary and fresh, it looks both urban and comfortable; a hard one to pull off! The amazing ceiling and walls seem to curve and wave, making it look like a chic cave. Snuggle with pillows, admire the stunning brass wear hanging around the light fittings, and if you’re lucky enough to sit upstairs on the small balcony, gaze over at the Burj Khalifa.
The service is excellent here and really adds to the vibe. The waiters are extremely attentive whilst never being intrusive.
Food & Drink
The varied menu includes a range of soups, salads, pasta, seafood, burgers, and lots of cakes. The dishes often have a Middle Eastern twist and many feature their signature ingredient: lavender. Breakfast is rather special, too, and many of the dishes are served all day long; the French Toast is heavenly and a must-try. All the ingredients are super fresh – and this is evident, and the presentation is exceptional.
very course will need its very own Instagram post basically! For drinks, there’s a wide range of teas and coffees, smoothies and some yummy Mocktails too. And if you miss the food when you’re not here, they also do catering and events!
Cooking Classes
The Culinary Boutique cooking school invites you, the chefs of tomorrow, to attend cooking classes! Get the chance to cook in their state-of-the-art kitchen studios with fully equipped stations and demonstration areas and create your very own culinary masterpiece. And don’t be intimidated by your surroundings, the classes are suitable for all skill levels.
They are run by experienced instructors who use hands-on training to guide you through your paces, the classes last for about 2 hours, and they run 3 or 4 classes per day. The workshops cater to both adults and children and you can book a group class and take your mates too. Some of the classes teach you to make a specific food, such as Macaroons or bread and others focus on a cuisine, such as Thai, Mexican, or Arabic Mezza. The breakfast class really appeals to me, so finally, you can recreate a proper Eggs Benedict at home!
