We review the 10 best luxury beach hotels perfect for couples on a romantic holiday or honeymoon. We focus on beachside hotels as well as those downtown and in the desert. By reviewing each of these luxury and boutique hotels, I conclude which hotel comes in at the top and which hotel I would select as being the best in Dubai for your honeymoon.
Luxury beachside hotels in Dubai ideal for a honeymoon or a romantic retreat include the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach on the beach and the six Madinat Jumeirah hotels, Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Al Naseem, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah on its own island by the beach and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Three of these Madinat Jumeirah hotels have some of the best hotel club lounges in Dubai which include pretty much all the food you could desire on your honeymoon as well as free alcoholic drinks during happy hour so you can toast your romantic trip under the stars for free if you book a room with club lounge included.
Also worth considering are One&Only The Palm on the beach and One&Only Royal Mirage on Dubai beach, Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, a luxury oasis in the desert, and the Bulgari Resort Dubai downtown. There is also a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, Grosvenor House, which is much cheaper than the hotels above and is one of the best Bonvoy properties with a beach in Dubai.

2. Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is part of the Jumeirah Group and is located on Dubai’s most renowned beach, Jumeirah Beach. Soaring 321 meters, Burj Al Arab is the world’s tallest all-suite hotel and is famous as being the most luxurious hotel in Dubai, perfect for couples on a romantic holiday or honeymoon. You will not find a hotel with a higher level of luxury than this, although some find the level of glitz overwhelming.
With its helipad on the 28th floor and a restaurant seemingly suspended in mid-air, the hotel has already become a landmark and icon on the Dubai skyline. The sail façade represents a true technical challenge, featuring a double-skinned Teflon-coated woven glass fiber screen. It is the first time such technology has been used in the world. Burj Al Arab offers highly personalized service for every traveler, enhanced by private reception desks on every floor, in-suite check-in, and a brigade of exclusive butlers.
Comprising of 142 deluxe suites; 18 Panoramic suites; 4 Club Suites; 28 Two-Bedroom suites; 6 Diplomatic Suites; 2 Presidential Suites, and 2 Royal Suites. Suites offer beautiful views over the Arabian Sea and range in size from 1800 ft² to 8400 ft².
Dining facilities include Al Mahara Seafood Restaurant; Al Muntaha Restaurant on the 27th floor; Junsui Asian restaurant, Skyview Bar on the 27th floor; Al Iwan Restaurant on the lobby level; Bab Al Yam located by the pool and Juna Lounge on the ground floor.
Talise Spa is open daily and offers a full range of relaxing and reviving treatments, featuring the popular La Prairie Caviar treatments. It features the latest Technogym equipment with Kinesis stations as well as an indoor pool and sauna. An outdoor pool and a private beach are also exclusive to residents.
For beautiful views of Dubai during your honeymoon, head to the observation deck at the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, or book a hot air balloon ride for an enchanting aerial experience. And what better way to end your honeymoon in Dubai than with a dinner cruise down Dubai Creek? The creek offers a wonderful view of Dubai’s cityscape, romantically illuminated against the night sky.
3. One&Only The Palm
One&Only The Palm is chic and glamorous and Dubai’s most intimate beachfront resort, perfect for a romantic break or your honeymoon.
Hideaway from every day and soak up the sun beside shimmering pools and the private, white-sand beach; capture the calm of the day in the Guerlain Spa, set amidst ponds, fountains, and open courtyards; and tantalize your palate with an enviable selection of bars and restaurants under the culinary guidance of three-Michelin-stars Chef Yannick Alléno. The world’s most discerning travelers are assured of a warm welcome, understated luxury, and discreet, attentive service.
4. Jumeirah Al Qasr
Set up like an Arabian palace, or perhaps numerous Arabian palaces, surrounded by greenery, waterways, and of course, the beach, Madinat Jumeirah is an old Arabian town recreated in luxury. It comes complete with a traditional bazaar, gardens, wind catchers, and water canals. There are six hotels on the premises of the Madinat. Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Al Naseem, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. After the Burj mentioned above, the Madinat Jumeirah Al Qasr is one of the best hotels in Dubai for a romantic vacation. This entire resort is perfect for honeymoon couples looking to explore Dubai and looking for a luxury beach resort in Dubai.
Jumeirah Al Qasr offers some of the nicest and best rooms within the Madinat Jumeirah hotel complex, showcasing Arabian Palatial luxury. Designed in the style of a Sheikh’s summer residence, palatial guestrooms decorated in the traditional Arabian style offer stunning views of the sea and the resort in opulent surroundings. This hotel is reached by traveling up an impressive driveway to the entrance.
5. Jumeirah Al Naseem
Jumeirah Al Naseem, is the latest addition to Madinat Jumeirah, offering a “Dubai of Today” experience and is perfect for a romantic break or a honeymoon. With interiors inspired by sand dunes, sea breeze, and Dubai’s heritage of pearl diving and Bedouin traditions, its rooms and suites feature spectacular views of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. Expansive terraces invite the outdoors in, and lush gardens edge the sandy beach, providing pockets of privacy and peacefulness.
Dubai’s longest private beach is only steps away, as well as the many facilities within Madinat Jumeirah Resort. Souk Madinat Jumeirah features more than 80 shops, bars, and restaurants. Access to Talise Spa and Talise Fitness, tennis and squash courts, as well as unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark™, are all available to guests.
6. Grosvenor House Dubai
The Grosvenor House Dubai feels very much like a proper Luxury Collection hotel, with a brilliant location close to the beach, next to the marina walk and with plenty of great bars and restaurants in the hotel including Sidarta Lounge, Buddha Bar, Torro Torro, The Embassy, etc. The main breakfast selection at the hotel is so good that the locals and ex-pats come here for breakfast.
The Grosvenor House has great views of the marina from the rooms, which is a great way to wake up. Many rooms have a nice balcony overlooking Atlantis. The club lounge is one of the best in Dubai. Overall, this is your best option if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member and are looking for luxury and the best Marriott or SPG Starwood property to earn and redeem your points, particularly if you are traveling as a couple. You also get access to all the beach and pool facilities at Le Royal Meridien via a free and regular shuttle between the two hotels, or you can just run across Al Sufouh Road between the hotels, so you get the best of both worlds.
The food in the club lounge at the Grosvenor House Luxury Collection is very good. Breakfast is amazing (though the restaurant breakfast is a bit better), and lunch is provided, followed by afternoon tea time and pre-dinner drinks. Afternoon tea is extravagant! Eggplant spaghetti and a large salad, anyone? This is a proper meal and the largest spread I have ever seen for afternoon tea at a Marriott Bonvoy hotel. Overall you can treat this lounge-like half or even full board as there is enough food to fill you up.
Make sure to book Tower 2. Tower 1 is still very good, but the rooms and concierge services (use Level 5) at 2 are slightly better. And don’t forget you will have beach access at the Royal Méridien as well as the Grosvenor House pool, which is also excellent.
7. Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa
Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa is a fantastic resort out in the desert and is part of the Marriott Bonvoy collection and a category 8 property costing around 85,000 points per night. Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is an exclusive and romantic eco-luxury hotel set in 225 square kilometers of the pristine desert landscape just 45 minutes from the cosmopolitan city of Dubai, the thriving center of commerce and leisure in the Gulf.
It represents nearly five percent of Dubai’s land area and is the largest piece of land ever dedicated to a single project in Dubai. An oasis of luxury and enchantment, Al Maha lies within an award-winning conservation area where desert wildlife abounds. It’s also the only resort within the area where visitors can experience the true beauty and majesty of the desert and observe the indigenous wildlife.
Each suite at Al Maha includes all meals and two activities per night’s stay (choose from a camel ride with sundowners, archery, nature walks, and more). Beneath its stretched canvas roof, each suite boasts handcrafted furnishings and traditional Arabian artifacts, as well as a private swimming pool and wooden deck. A truly everlasting oasis, the Timeless Spa offers rejuvenating treatments and massages using international brands, also available on your private pool deck. You’ll dine sumptuously at Al Diwaan restaurant.
Is there anything more romantic than a couple’s sunset camel ride into the dunes for a glass of sparkling wine and watching Arabian oryx and gazelle roam about the private reserve.
8. Address Downtown Dubai
Just 1 mile from the airport is probably the best hotel club lounge in Dubai. The award-winning, iconic flagship Address Downtown Dubai is a landmark of luxury, romance and is ideal for a honeymoon in the heart of Downtown Dubai. Located close to Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, this hotel offers an exceptional selection of innovative restaurants, an invigorating spa, and a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre. Young children can look forward to reveling in the immersive activities in the Qix club.
The hotel is superbly convenient for The Dubai Mall, which is just a short walk over a bridge connecting the hotel and the mall. It is a great place to waste hours, shop, and people-watch.
Book a Fountain Club Room to get club lounge access at the Address Dubai, which gets you freshly prepared refreshments throughout the day, free two-way airport transfers, 24-hour check-in and check-out, and on-demand pressing for up to two pieces of laundry per stay. More importantly, there is no other club lounge in Dubai with a dreamy terrace overlooking the fountains, a beautiful experience.
The overwhelming recommendation from guests staying at this hotel is that you MUST book the club lounge as part of your package, as the benefits you get outweigh the cost. Once you have booked a club room, everything from being met at the airport to being taken back for our homeward flight is taken care of.
The lounge itself is large, with a wonderful view, and probably the most comprehensive food offering, in terms of food and alcohol, of any executive lounge in Dubai. You can grab something to eat and drink from 6:00 am with breakfast followed by lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, along with free drinks from 6:00 – 11:00 pm (the longest happy hour of any club lounge I have come across).
The chef who creates the lounge’s food is excellent, and the food is consistently delicious and of high quality. The view of the fountain shows, with the Burj in the background, is one that you will never get tired of. This low-key, relaxed, and easy-going lounge is the perfect place to grab a bite or a lovely drink. The wine is particularly great. Try the Malbec, and the carrot juice is not to be missed.
9. Mandarin Oriental Dubai
Mandarin Oriental Dubai overlooks both the pristine waters of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s glittering skyline, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is a stunning beachfront resort with an enviable Jumeirah Beach setting.
Club Rooms and Suites offer exclusive access to The Club Lounge, a sophisticated venue with staggering views catering exclusively for Club Room and Suite guests. It offers a private space for guests to relax and socialize whilst enjoying a host of exclusive benefits and complimentary food and beverage offerings, breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and canapes.
Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, offers one of the most beautiful and memorable settings in the UAE and is right by the beach. Enjoy a unique beachfront location with the glittering city skyline as a backdrop, and for your honeymoon, book the romantic Bridal Suite, which features a chic, contemporary design and expansive views over the Arabian Sea. Designed for bridal parties, the suite features a make-up station and a private lift with direct access to the ballroom. The Bridal suite offers a sense of comfort and understated luxury with a living area furnished with a comfortable sofa. The spacious sleeping area has a king-size bed and leads to an ensuite bathroom in leather-finished Persian Travertine.
10. Bulgari Resort Dubai
Bulgari Resort Dubai in downtown is situated on the exclusive, manmade Jumeira Bay, an island carved into the shape of a seahorse and adjoined by a 300m bridge to central Dubai coastline, the sunny property is a true ‘urban oasis’, for visitors and residents alike.
Designed entirely by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the renowned Italian architectural firm that has created all the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, the 158,000 m² property is a first-of-its-kind development for Bvlgari, both in scale and magnitude. Charming with a Mediterranean village feel, the complex features the Resort, six residential buildings with 173 sea-facing apartments, 15 private mansions, and Bvlgari’s first-ever Marina and Yacht Club.
Comprised of 101 rooms and suites, as well as 20 Bvlgari villas with pools, both garden and sea view, all are exclusive, romantic, and perfect for a honeymoon. The gourmet Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, the Il Café open all day, Il Bar with its iconic oval-shaped freestanding bar, and La Spiaggia are wonderful places to spend time. The latter is the most exclusive beach club with a private beach and a unique mosaic-design outdoor swimming pool. Guests can also enjoy the 1,700 m² Spa with a hammam, indoor pool, fitness center, beauty salon with a traditional barbershop, and hairdresser. To add relish to the guest’s stay, the complex comprises a private Marina featuring 50 boat berths and the first world’s Bvlgari Yacht Club with peerless views over the sea.
