Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and understandably a most popular travel destination – well renowned for its white mountains, beautiful beaches, and traditional Mediterranean climate. The main pool is a good size and where most guests tend to gather, but there are plenty of other smaller pools dotted around the resort so you really are spoilt for choice. For families, there is a kids club (4-11 years) and a teenagers club (12-15 years) from July to August, so after a hard day by the pool, why not take advantage of this facility and treat yourself to one of the many treatments available in the luxury fully serviced spa. All suites and bungalows are spacious and come equipped with all necessary amenities, offering either a balcony or a terrace.
Best Rooms
The sea-view rooms are amazing, and you will be guaranteed to see some of the most stunning sunrises in your life. The beautiful and spacious ‘Collection Suites’ offer a wonderful sea view, 1-2 bedrooms, 1 sitting room, 1-2 bathrooms with a bathtub, a balcony, or a terrace. Meanwhile, the Creta Maris Pool Villa offers a waterfront villa that will exceed your expectations with its spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea and discreet luxury.
Food & Drink
At the Creta Maris Beach Resort, food is definitely one of the highlights. Trying the delicious local delicacies is all part of the fun on holiday, and at this resort, you can certainly feast on a vast choice of local and international specialties. One of the ‘food highlights’ for me has to be Cochlias Restaurant, overlooking the beach, which serves themed buffet meals. The barbecue evening, with its plethora of meat dishes, as well as a wide range of freshly prepared salads and starters, is truly excellent.
For those preferring a la carte, Pithos and Platia restaurants both serve carefully prepared Cretan cuisine, which is out of this world. Estia serves late breakfast, then transforms into an Italian buffet, serving crusty pizzas and fresh pasta in the evening, whilst Almyra is the place to go for drinks and snacks. It is worth mentioning that although the resort supports local production of drinks, as part of the all-inclusive package, international brands of spirits are also available. Wherever you decide to dine in this resort, you really are spoilt for choice with 6 excellent restaurants to choose from.
