Receive complimentary breakfast at Luxury Hotels
We have reviewed hotels in Dallas, Texas, with the best club or executive lounges. Whether you are traveling as a couple, a family, or as a single business traveler, by reviewing each of these club lounges, in turn, I conclude which hotel club lounge comes in at the top and which hotel you should pick for the best club lounge in Dallas.
Dallas is a modern metropolis in north Texas and is both the region’s commercial and cultural hub. One reason tourists flock here is for Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. In the Arts District, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Crow Collection of Asian Art cover thousands of years of art. The sleek Nasher Sculpture Center showcases contemporary sculpture.
If you want to stay in luxury in Dallas, you should stay at one of Dallas’s luxury hotels, which include the Four Seasons Hotel Dallas, Rosewood Mansion On Turtle Creek, which is one of the best Rosewood hotels in the world, Hotel Crescent Court, Omni Dallas, The Adolphus, Autograph Collection and The Joule, a revitalized 1920s neo-Gothic boutique hotel in downtown Dallas with a communal living room and a rooftop pool bar. Other good hotels also include a number of Hyatts, Sheratons, Renaissances, Hiltons, Le Méridien, and some Marriott Bonvoy properties.
I have compiled a list below containing the club lounges available across luxury hotels in Dallas. I list the lounges that I consider to be the best of the best. I will be reviewing each of these hotel club lounges in detail in turn so that you know what you’ll get if you book a room with club lounge access or get upgraded to a club lounge for free because of your loyalty status.
1. Ritz-Carlton, Dallas
So often, Ritz-Carlton club lounges are the very best hotel club lounges that you will find in a city, and Dallas is no exception. The club lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas is classy with stylish chandeliers and a hint of Asia in the design as pictured above. This is definitely the best club lounge in Dallas.
They say: “The Ritz-Carlton Club® Level is the only experience of its kind within the city of Dallas. Access is only available to those who hold a key, providing the highest level of exclusivity and luxury to Dallas visitors. Guests who reserve a room or suite on the Club Level are invited to enjoy unique amenities and offerings, including a dedicated Concierge who is readily available to assist with reservations and transportation arrangements, complimentary Internet within the Club Lounge, and multiple culinary presentations throughout the day – all presented with the hotel’s compliments.”
The club lounge is great and has plenty of food and drink offerings throughout the day. The public spaces at the Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, are stunning, and the Fearing’s restaurant is truly wonderful. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel feels a little dated. Be warned that the Wi-Fi here is also terrible, but otherwise, there is plenty of space in the rooms and a Nespresso machine. The rooms offer views over ugly rooftops, but the location is good, and there are lots of good restaurants nearby, many within walking distance. The hotel also has an outdoor pool.
While the Ritz-Carlton remains the very best Marriott Bonvoy property in Dallas and has the very best club lounge in Dallas, a better option might be to forgo the club lounge and to stay at the cheaper W Hotel Dallas Victory or the Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh, which are both Marriott Bonvoy properties (outlined below). Neither has a club lounge, but they are part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of hotels. The W Dallas also has an outdoor pool and numerous good dining options within walking distance, but the ‘bathroom’ at W in non-suite guest rooms is formed by a curtain, which seems a weirdly cheap option, but kind of fits with the ultra-modern look.
Alternatively, if your budget allows, you might want to consider the excellent Four Seasons Hotel Dallas, Rosewood Mansion On Turtle Creek, which is one of the best Rosewood hotels in the world, or for Downtown, try the more boutique-sized hotel, The Joule.
2. Sheraton Downtown Dallas
The Sheraton Downtown Dallas has just completed a year-long renovation and now has a very good new ground-floor club lounge with juice, soft drinks, fruit, and breakfast offerings. The lounge itself is much larger (and nicer) than the old one on the 15th floor, and the fact that the hotel has been redone puts this hotel and lounge in our second position.
Executive rooms have been refurbished, but avoid rooms facing the road as they can be noisy. Because of the recent renovations, this is probably also your best Sheraton choice in Dallas.
Sheraton Downtown Dallas is nestled in the city’s downtown district, near American Airlines Center, Fair Park, and the diverse Deep Ellum neighborhood. It is about a mile from the train station, Dealy Plaza, etc. but next to the convention center and near many downtown buildings. The Light Rail stops on the corner of the hotel. This is an older massive high-rise, Sheraton, with renovated rooms and suites offering spacious desks and high-speed Wi-Fi to the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience.
Dining options include Draft Sports Bar & Lounge, which offers 12 beers on tap and the day’s big games. You can also enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Open Palette, Illy coffee at Moka Pot, a cocktail at The Parlor, or an on-the-go snack from our marketplace. Rather than booking one of the many Sheratons in town, you might enjoy a nicer stay if you headed for the W, Le Meridien, or the Ritz-Carlton above. The latter offers a club lounge at a price.
3. Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel
When choosing the best hotel in Dallas with a club lounge, you may be tempted to try the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel instead of the Ritz-Carlton. Be warned, the Ritz-Carlton Dallas is much more high-end but with a more traditional look, whereas the Renaissance, while not high-end, is much more modern. An Executive King Suite at Renaissance can be around the same price as a basic room at Ritz when comparing the two, but the club lounge and the luxury ambiance cannot be compared. The Ritz-Carlton is the better choice, budget allowing.
The Ritz is a much nicer property and better located for restaurants, bars, etc., with a fantastic restaurant and great room service food as well as club lounge food. The breakfast is the stuff of great memories.
While the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel by the Galleria is not such a high end or well-located choice unless you want to be near the mall, it is still a fair choice in this town and has the added advantage of a club lounge. In fact, Renaissance Dallas Galleria Hotel was previously the InterContinental Dallas built in 1983, so the room size here is very decent. It is set in a shopping area of Addison, 1 km from the city center. Main Street Garden is about a 30-minute drive from here.
The Renaissance Dallas Galleria’s recent renovations fuse the interior with the surrounding Texas landscape through natural colors, textures, and materials, adding to its stature as one of the city’s premier meeting properties. The hotel’s 528 oversized guestrooms are appointed in a classic contemporary style. 24 unique two-story suites range from 750 to 2,200 ft².
Crucially, “Concierge rooms include Concierge club lounge access, a lounge that offers tremendous evening offerings but only on weekdays. This lounge is closed on weekends and holidays, and you get breakfast coupons for the full buffet breakfast in the main restaurant instead of the lounge breakfast (& evening canapes) at weekends.
4. Renaissance Dallas Hotel
Another Renaissance option is the Renaissance Dallas Hotel which is located near Dallas Market Center, the Dallas Design District and Market Hall. Choose from recently renovated rooms and residence-inspired suites featuring pampering bedding, high-speed Wi-Fi, modern technology, local artwork, and Dallas skyline views. Bask in the sun by their rooftop outdoor pool. Stay fit in the 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness center, and enjoy buffet breakfast or all-day dining with farm-to-table American cuisine.
It also has a club level with a fairly spacious lounge and friendly staff. In the evening, you get snacks and self-serve complimentary soft drinks. This club lounge closes on weekends & major holidays. Instead, you get coupons for the cold side of the breakfast buffet in the main restaurant, and there is a $5 USD upcharge for the hot side of the buffet.
5. Westin Downtown Dallas, Park Central & Galleria
The Westins in Dallas are all located in the North of the city. Westins in Dallas include The Westin Dallas Downtown, The Westin Dallas Park Central, and The Westin Galleria Dallas.
If you stay at any of these Westins, you should take advantage of their respective club lounges, which are all fairly decent and modern and offer good value.
6. Hilton Dallas
Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre, Hilton Dallas/Park Cities, and Hilton Anatole are all Hilton’s in Dallas with fairly decent executive club lounges. The Lincoln Hilton lounge is meant to be the worst of the three and includes complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, average snacks, and a basic breakfast without much atmosphere. The executive lounge at the Hilton Dallas/Southlake Town Square includes a hot and delicious breakfast, bottled water, and soft drinks throughout the day. Overall, these lounges are worth paying the extra fee for access, although none are spectacular, and none are a patch on the Ritz-Carlton lounge outlined above.
7. Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh
Le Méridien Dallas by the Galleria, The Stoneleigh is in an established Downtown area with lots of nightlife and a younger crowd. It is part of the Marriott Bonvoy brand, and after the Ritz-Carlton, it is probably the best Marriott Bonvoy in town, but it does not have a club lounge. Hence its position near the bottom of our listings.
The building is almost 100 years old and has little quirks, including thin doors that rattle every time a nearby door closes, plus you can hear hallway conversations from your room. However, it does have a beautiful lobby bar and a lot of great dining and drinking options within walking distance. By comparison, the W is in an up-and-coming area, ideal if you attend an event at the AA center or another nearby event, but not very good otherwise. The Aloft downtown is also a great choice if you need to be in the convention center. The Stoneleigh tends to be a slightly better option than the W overall.
Breakfast in the restaurant is a particular highlight at The Stoneleigh, with great service, a nice setting, and a decent full buffet. The fitness center is in the basement of the hotel that is a decent size with cardio machines and yoga mats. Overall, this is a nice hotel in Dallas, and most people would definitely return.
8. Hyatt Regency Dallas
None of the Hyatts in Dallas has a club lounge hence their position near the bottom of this list. They are worth mentioning as they are solid hotels and, as most Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency hotels have a club lounge, I felt it was worth mentioning that these hotels don’t.
Hyatt House is nicely located in Uptown, within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants and bars, but it is quite old and worn. The nicest Hyatt in Dallas is the Grand Hyatt DFW at the airport, which we also consider the best airport hotel in the world. The Hyatt Regency is another World Of Hyatt earning and redemption option in Downtown Dallas, but it doesn’t have a club lounge either.
Hyatt Regency Dallas is a decent Hyatt Regency in an impressive older building with a giant atrium, a busy lobby, and a nice breakfast (offered free to premium World Of Hyatt members as this Hyatt doesn’t have a lounge). The rooms are nice, but the location is quiet and around a half-mile walk from the bars and restaurants on Main street. There is also a small pool and deck, and the gym is okay, but it can get crowded.
The Hyatt Regency in North Dallas is another option and is more newly renovated.
