1. Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas
We love the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas which is definitely one of the best beach hotels in Abu Dhabi UAE. This 5-star luxury beach resort in Abu Dhabi is nestled along the pristine beach of Saadiyat Island. It is as stylish as you would expect of any Park Hyatt and is decorated in creams with metallic tones, plush rugs, and high-end furnishings.
The Park Hyatt has a superb, sleek, minimalist design, gorgeous rooms, and excellent food. The disadvantage is the pool, which looks vast but is mainly ornamental, so the actual swimming section is relatively small.
306 spacious guest rooms offer private balconies, and their stylish suites and private villas feature open-air plunge pools with magnificent ocean, garden, or golf course views. Also on offer is exquisite dining and a luxurious spa along with pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, and access to Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Player.
This luxury Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi costs 25,000 World of Hyatt points per night if you are redeeming World of Hyatt Points.
2. Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi
If you are looking for luxury, the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi is one of the newest luxury hotels in Abu Dhabi with a decent club lounge and being new, this is a fantastic choice, particularly if you want to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points.
Hyatt Hotels only recently opened the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residence Emirates Pearl, the first Grand Hyatt hotel to open in the United Arab Emirates’ capital city, Abu Dhabi. The luxury property combines iconic brand elements and awe-inspiring design and architecture with a central location in the capital that offers easy access to world-class shopping, dining, and cultural events. We particularly like the 50-meter infinity pool, the kids’ pool, and the plunge pool, all surrounded by classy decking and plush loungers. There’s also a small private beach area for those who prefer to dip their toes in the sand.
As the second Grand Hyatt hotel in the United Arab Emirates, joining Grand Hyatt Dubai, the Abu Dhabi property is a noteworthy addition to Hyatt’s steadfastly growing hotel portfolio in the Middle East.
The hotel is located along the charming Corniche, offering generous beachfront promenades and stunning landmark city views that feature famed UAE landmarks, including Emirates Palace, the Presidential Palace, and The Founder’s Memorial.
The property houses 332 guestrooms, 36 lavish suites, including the Presidential and Palatial Royal Suites, and 60 full-service one and two-bedroom residences. For those residing on the Suite or Club floor, additional exclusivity can be discovered on the 26th floor, as the Grand Club Lounge provides a luxurious living space with sweeping views of the city’s skyline and the glittering Arabian Gulf.
This Grand Hyatt costs 21,000 World Of Hyatt loyalty points per night for a club room or 15,000 World Of Hyatt loyalty points per night for an ordinary room if you want to redeem a stay here.
3. Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi
Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, only 15 minutes away from the airport and most key attractions, adjacent to ADNEC, an impressive 18º leaning design stands tall as the gateway to a luxury lifestyle hotel stay. The hotel part of the building begins on the 18th floor. The lower floors are reserved for office space.
The location of the Andaz Capital Gate is fairly unusual in that pretty much everything is within a 15-20 minute taxi ride. Still, there is really nothing at all in the immediate vicinity. It is actually located about halfway from both the city center of Abu Dhabi and the airport.
However, this location is very good if you have a business to conduct at the exhibition center or have an early flight out from the airport, making it a good choice for a flight stopover hotel or if you have an early flight booked out from the airport. There are also quite a few embassies, including the United States one, located in the immediate area. It’s also a stone’s throw from Grand Mosque, arguably the most important tourist spot in Abu Dhabi because it’s the largest mosque in the world. The hotel is also conveniently close to Yas Island and its Ferrari World and water theme park. It’s 15-20 mins to downtown city and the airport (taxis are around $7 USD/25 AED each way, cheap as chips!).
The pool area is not huge but adequate for the size of the hotel, and it is on the 19th floor of the building. There are a few sunchairs set out, and there is a nice sunset view from the pool area.
If you want a beach, pick the Park Hyatt. If you want a pool, pick the Grand Hyatt, as the Andaz Capital Gate pool is small, but it does have a great view. Being 19 stories up, there is usually a breeze, making this pool a sensible choice in the very hot Abu Dhabi summer.
If you want the city center, pick the Grand Hyatt. The Andaz Capital Gate is really only ideal for layovers and those doing business in the immediate vicinity.
The rates do seem to reflect this. When there’s an exhibition or conference, the hotel is pricy and busy. When there isn’t, you can get a great deal here. It can be super cheap!
Their breakfast concept is a buffet (for cold items) and a la carte (for hot), and is all included with the breakfast rate. Freshly baked pastries are outstanding with whole wheat croissants, and there’s a good selection of fresh fruit. Cooked a la carte items are described and presented well.
So what are the reasons for staying here? The price is cheap when there are no conferences or events happening in the area, and the height is such fun in the fog when you can swim outdoors in the clouds. If you are looking for an even cheaper hotel for an airport layover, there is a Marriott Aloft next door that you also might want to consider.
This is our least favorite Hyatt in Abu Dhabi, but when the rates are cheap, it can be irresistible.
The Andaz Capital Gate costs 8,000 World Of Hyatt loyalty points per night if you want to redeem a stay here. Perhaps one of the best deals for a hotel of this level of luxury, on a point redemption.
