Which are the best luxury hotels in Argentina with executive club lounges in Mendoza (Mendoza is the country’s biggest wine region), Tucuman, Salta, Mar del Plata, Cordoba, and Bariloche?

Most luxury hotels do not have executive club lounges or concierge floors, with lounges offering complimentary food and drink. It is worth picking a hotel with an executive club lounge so that you can benefit from all the free food and drink offered up in the lounge, as well as the luxurious rooms, setting, and service offered by these wonderful hotels.

Most of the hotel executive club lounges and concierge floors in Argentina are in Buenos Aires, the birthplace of tango. We have reviewed the best executive club lounges in Buenos Aires separately. It is worth noting that the best luxury hotel in Buenos Aires include the Four Seasons Buenos Aires, one of the best Four Seasons in South America, the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires which blends the 1930’s charm of the French Palace Duhau with contemporary design and décor and the Be Jardín Escondido boutique hotel, but none of these three hotels offer executive club lounges.

1. Sheraton Mendoza

While you might prefer the Park Hyatt, which is an obvious luxury hotel choice in Mendoza and is directly located on the city’s central square, the Sheraton Mendoza is a very popular choice, particularly with members of Marriott Bonvoy who are looking for an executive club lounge. This Sheraton is a category 3 Marriott Bonvoy hotel.

The Sheraton Mendoza is really nicely located around a block from the main pedestrianized Avenida Sarmiento city center with all its shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars.

In terms of dining, the Mirador Lounge and Restaurant is a highlight, and it is found on the 17th floor offering neverending city and mountain views. The hotel also has a fitness center, an indoor pool and a small spa, and a Club Lounge.

The club lounge can be found on the top floor, is open 11:00 am – 11:00 pm, and serves breakfast, snacks, and a light meal in the evening. The lounge is big enough, and the breakfast is a buffet is good with a few hot dishes (eggs, bacon, etc.), pastries, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee, and tea. Platinum Marriott Bonvoy members can also choose to have the (better) breakfast at the restaurant on the 17th floor.

In the evening, the club level entitles you to a glass of free wine, with red or white options available, along with complimentary cheese and crackers, free soft drinks, as well as sandwiches, cold cuts, and cakes.

2. Sheraton Salta Hotel

Sheraton Salta Hotel is a Rewards Category 2 Marriott Bonvoy hotel situated on the east end of the city. It affords us unrivaled access to a wealth of renowned attractions, such as Plaza 9 de Julio, the 20 de Febrero Monument, and the Museum of High-Altitude Archaeology.

The bad news is that the hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the main square up a hill, this means great views but a grueling trek if you are returning from sightseeing. As a consequence, their spacious rooms and suites boast amazing views, as well as marble bathrooms and flat-panel TVs.

In terms of dining, you can savor a mouthwatering dinner at Restaurant Terracota with international cuisine and fine wine. For lighter fare, Jardin del Sol, their snack bar, features a menu of small plates, as well as craft cocktails. You can also alleviate any stress from a long day with a body scrub, massage, or nail treatment from Sheraton Spa.

There is a club lounge at this Sheraton, but it reportedly does not serve alcohol, although it does have an outdoor deck. Just tea, coffee, water, juices along with snacks and desserts are served. Marriott Bonvoy Platinums breakfast is rather limited too, with not many egg choices and the salads and fruit are not of great quality.

3. Sheraton Tucuman Hotel

The Sheraton Tucuman Hotel, is situated in the peaceful capital of San Miguel de Tucuman. Tour historic sites and natural wonders by day, then enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife well past midnight. Stay on top of your workout regimen at our Sheraton Fitness, take a dip in the swimming pool, and indulge yourself with a treatment in the full-service spa.

Featuring delightful park and city views, 124 spacious guest rooms are found on eight floors and include seven Executive Suites and a Presidential Suite. Gather with family, friends, or colleagues for delicious cuisine in the international restaurant or enjoy drinks in the lobby lounge.

The Executive Lounge on the top floor boasts panoramic mountain vistas, but there have been very few reports on the food and drink offered.

4. InterContinental Mendoza

InterContinental Mendoza is located in a region of the world known for its wine. This hotel is located next to Mendoza Plaza Shopping, the city’s largest shopping mall, but is somewhat removed from the city center. You have to drive or take a cab to downtown Mendoza.

Adventure seekers can easily visit the foothills of the Andes or explore the local wineries. Unique features include a casino, the largest meeting space in west Argentina, an indoor pool, and a luxury spa.

While this InterContinental mentions executive rooms, there is no mention of an executive club lounge on the hotel’s website, suggesting that there is no lounge at this InterContinental.

Most InterContinental hotels do have a club lounge so this hotel stands out as being unusual, hence its placement at the bottom of our list. You can see what we have experienced in terms of food and drink at the club lounge at InterContinental O2 in London and the club lounge at InterContinental Park Lane.

In other cities across Argentina, there are very few club lounges. There are a number of Marriott Bonvoy hotels that don’t have club lounges, including Sheraton Cordoba Hotel, Sheraton Mar del Plata Hotel, Arelauquen Lodge, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, San Carlos de Bariloche, Sheraton Tucuman Hotel. Hotels like Gran Meliá Iguazú (no longer a Sheraton) do not have club lounges either.
