Book A Hotel

We review the best airport lounges at Kahului Airport (OGG) Maui. Airlines that depart from Kahului Airport include Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, GO Mesa Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Island Air Airlines, Mokulele Airlines, United Airlines, and WestJet Airlines.

Kahului Airport (OGG) is Maui’s main airport. Many airlines offer non-stop flights direct to Maui from the US. Maui has one of the best Four Seasons on Hawaii and we have already reviewed the best luxury hotels on Maui and the best hotels with executive club lounges in Maui, Hawaii. Now we review the best airport lounges at Kahului Airport (OGG).

OGG is not the best of airports for services or general seating. It feels dated (1960s/70s) and lacks the liveliness of Honolulu airport. A good lounge would really cheer the place up and make waiting for the departure of your aircraft a whole lot more tolerable. Unfortunately, there’s only one airport lounge at Kahului Airport (OGG) Maui and add to that, unless you are flying with Hawaiian Airlines, you are unlikely to get access.

Free Airport Lounge Access

If you have not paid for Business Class or First Class, you can still access lounges at Honolulu airport for a fee or for free if you have a Priority Pass. Get an unlimited Priority Pass with the Amex Platinum card, or you can also access most Priority Pass lounges for free using the free American Express Gold with its two free Lounge Club passes. 1. Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club Lounge

There’s only one airport lounge at Kahului Airport (OGG) Maui, which is the Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club Lounge. This lounge is located in the main terminal, airside, upstairs across from Gate A18.

Sadly, this lounge isn’t great. The lounge is small but modern, with a shiny wooden floor, oatmeal sofas, and white high seats. Access is only granted to those flying Business or First Class on Hawaiian Airlines or to those who hold HawaiianMiles elite status.

Amenities include free Wi-Fi, tea, coffee, and a soda fountain. For food are just small packets of nuts. The seating isn’t even that comfortable.

2. Sammy’s Restaurant

This suggestion is perhaps a little tongue in cheek, but a feasible alternative to an “airport lounge” is Sammy’s Restaurant which has a TV and serves up decent burgers and beers. It also has power points to recharge your devices.
