Which are the best Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt luxury hotels in Marrakesh in Morocco with executive club lounges? Morocco is probably one of the most fascinating travel destinations in the world, rich in history, culture, and amazing cuisine. With bustling cities like Marrakech, beautiful beaches, shopping in colorful souks, and experiencing the rituals of traditional hammams, there is plenty to discover.
Unfortunately, there are no Marriott branded hotels in Marrakech, and although there were rumors of a Park Hyatt opening in Marrakech, this hasn’t happened yet. There are two Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Marrakech; Le Méridien N’Fis and AnaYela, Marrakesh, a Member of Design Hotels™, but neither have an executive club lounge, so we have instead outlined a couple of the best luxury hotels in Marrakech for you to consider instead.
1. Mandarin Oriental Marrakech
As outlined above, Mandarin Oriental Marrakech is not a Marriott hotel and doesn’t have an executive club lounge, but it is probably your best luxury hotel choice in Marrakech. Mandarin Oriental Marrakech lies in 20 hectares of fragrant gardens and gnarly olive groves and yet this five-star luxury resort is only minutes from the city center. It doesn’t have a club lounge but is an extremely special hotel.
Inspired by Berber and Moorish influences, the 54 luxurious villas and 9 spacious suites make this hotel almost boutique in size and certainly exclusive. Each villa features its own secluded wall garden, swimming pool, hot tub, and an extensive area for sunbathing and shaded alfresco dining.
Their nine suites come with their own rooftop plunge pool and boast stunning views of the gardens and countryside. Architect Pascal Desprez worked alongside renowned French architects Patrick Gilles and Dorothee Boissier to develop a rustic yet sophisticated finish. The final look is elegant yet stylish with obvious Berber and Andalusian-Arabic influences.
The hotel also plays host to several restaurants and bars. The Mes’Lalla restaurant serves traditional Moroccan cuisine with a contemporary twist under the leadership of renowned Chef Meryem Cherkaoui. Le Salon Berbère boasts stunning views over both the resort’s blue and green pools and the Atlas Mountains, serving traditional Moroccan as well as international breakfast, drinks, and light bites throughout the day.
Guests can also indulge at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, a unique experience featuring spa suites with private terraces and gardens designed for outdoor treatments. The spa includes two luxurious hammams, an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, and a yoga studio.
Bathe to the calls for prayer from the minarets and the scent of jasmine. This city will enchant you if you let it, and the Mandarin Oriental is the perfect escape. A peaceful and serene paradise under the warmth of the Moroccan sun.
2. Four Seasons Marrakech
In a great location in the heart of Marrakech, just a five-minute drive from the vibrant buzz of the ancient Medina, the Four Seasons Marrakech offers an oasis of relaxation and calm. Set in 17 hectares of beautiful gardens, guests could be forgiven for forgetting that they are, in fact, surrounded by the bustle of the city. Again, this luxury hotel doesn’t have a club lounge, but it is an incredible hotel.
The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech boasts everything you would expect from a luxury hotel carrying such a well-established name, including two swimming pools, a spa, a variety of tempting restaurants, and beautiful views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech is just a ten-minute drive from Marrakech International Airport.
The design of the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech is contemporary with a slight Moroccan twist. Aiming to bring guests the best of old and new, traditional Moroccan style architecture blends beautifully with the stunning modern design of the pool area, while the grounds are full of attractive courtyards, fountains, palm trees, and olive trees. Inside, the luxurious décor is mostly light, bright, and modern, mixed with more traditional furniture and artifacts.
The resort offers a wide range of accommodation, from superior deluxe, premier, and pavilion rooms to various suites. Whichever room you go for, you’ll be guaranteed a private balcony overlooking the hotel’s lovely grounds, the historic Menara Gardens (located next door), or the Atlas Mountains.
All rooms offer a wealth of amenities, including down pillows, thick toweling bathrobes, hairdryer, and makeup mirror, refrigerated private bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, iPod docking station, and twice-daily housekeeping service.
Like the rest of the resort, the rooms have been designed to promote a feeling of calm and offer contemporary décor in a soft, neutral color palette with plenty of beautiful Moroccan touches, including handcrafted woodwork. King-size beds and marble bathrooms with walk-in rain showers add to the luxurious feel of the surroundings, while additional beds or adjoining rooms are available for families. Room Tip – Ask for a room with a view of the Atlas Mountains – truly spectacular!
With three restaurants and two lounges to choose from, there are plenty of options when it comes to dining at the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech. The stunning, 35-meter free-form swimming pool is irresistibly inviting in between meals, and there is an additional adults-only pool for those looking for peace and quiet. The recently redesigned spa, a haven surrounded by birdsong and fountains, offers massages, facials, and a wide range of other treatments as well as a traditional hammam experience. There are also tennis courts and a fitness center. Outside the resort, you won’t have to go far to explore the delights of Marrakech, including the Menara Gardens, traditional souks, and mosques.
Wherever you are in the world, Four Seasons hotels are consistently one of the best hotels in that city or resort. They don’t have a Four Seasons loyalty program, so you will never be able to book a free stay by racking up and redeeming points or by collecting points on your credit card and spending them at a Four Seasons hotel. It can’t be done. But you can get discounts at Four Seasons hotels and benefit from special rewards at Four Seasons hotels for no extra cost by booking your next stay via our luxury travel concierge.
