We review hotels in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean with the best club or executive lounges. Hotels in the Dominican Republic with club lounges include those in Punta Cana and Santo Domingo.
1. Intercontinental Real Santo Domingo
Intercontinental Real Santo Domingo is probably your best hotel choice in Santo Domingo with a great rooftop infinity pool and situated in a great location for dining and going out.
The hotel is located at the heart of the business and entertaining center of the city, next to major corporate centers, the best shopping malls, and the finest restaurants and bars. Santo Domingo´s Colonial Zone is just 4 miles away. This brand new hotel features the hottest concepts in entertainment and dining, with three unique concept restaurants and two bars. Unwind in the Spa, or enjoy the city view from the infinity pool on the 3rd floor.
The club lounge is on the 21st floor and provides a very good breakfast daily, an all-day mini-fridge full of drinks, all-day snacks, and a nightly happy hour with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The views and the staff are great reported to be great at this hotel.
2. JW Marriott, Santo Domingo
JW Marriott Hotel Santo Domingo is an excellent Marriott Bonvoy hotel situated in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic with an executive club lounge.
This award-winning luxury hotel is situated in the heart of the Piantini District in downtown Santo Domingo. The hotel is above a classy mall with shops, restaurants, and a movie theater. It is also near the Colonial Zone, Catedral Primada de América, and Alcázar de Colón.
Rooms and suites are modern and feature Wi-Fi access and city views. The lobby is lovely and showcases a natural look with woods and stone. The rooftop infinity pool is gorgeous, with a handful of chairs on a wooden pool deck. There’s also a 24-hour fitness center.
The concierge lounge is good, is located on the 20th floor, and is open 24/7. It has a small business center with computers and printers as well as breakfast, light lunch, appetizers, light dinner, and desserts. This lounge is closed on weekends, at which point, Marriott Bonvoy premium members can enjoy full breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
3. Renaissance, Santo Domingo
Renaissance, Santo Domingo is an upscale oceanfront resort-style hotel near the National Botanical Garden, Colonial Zone, Catedral Primada de América and El Conde Street. The hotel pool is big with views over the ocean.
Contemporary rooms and suites feature chic décor, plush bedding, and flat-panel TVs. The executive lounge is open from 6:00 am to midnight with full breakfast until 10:00 am. Snacks and soft drinks are available throughout the day, with more extensive appetizers and desserts in the evening. This executive lounge has great staff and is open 7 days a week.
4. Hilton, Santo Domingo
The rooms at the Hilton, Santo Domingo have great views of the ocean as does the executive club lounge in this hotel. Within this lounge, alcohol is not free, and the snacks are rather limited and include cheese, ham, veggies, nuts, and pastries. Breakfast has hot dishes, but they aren’t great; pre-cooked eggs and bacon along with continental options and bread.
While the Hilton is located on the ocean, there’s no beach to speak of and what beach there is, tends to have rubbish washed up on it, so this is not an appealing place to swim.
5. Sheraton, Santo Domingo
The Sheraton Santo Domingo also has an executive club lounge which is open 7 days a week. This is a city hotel with a view of the water, not a beach resort, but offers ocean views. It is also just moments away from Santo Domingo’s most popular restaurants and nightclubs, as well as the historic destinations in Zona Colonial. While the beach is across the road, it is not that nice, so you would be advised to choose the hotel pool.
Rooms have coffee makers, ample workstations, flat-panel TVs, luxurious bedding, and a private balcony. The club lounge offers breakfast and 1 or 2 hot items in the evening plus complimentary wine and spirits, as well as snacks and soft drinks throughout the day.
