It really is that easy, and the rates you pay will usually be the same as those on the Fairmont website. This offer is available at all Fairmont hotels, including our favorites, which include the Fairmont Monte Carlo and Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui.
2. How About The Accor Loyalty Program?
How about the Accor loyalty program? Does this give guests a great discount or cheaper rooms? Not usually. Accor Live Limitless, the new Lifestyle Loyalty Program from Accor, covers 4,200 hotels globally. These operate primarily under the Sofitel, Pullman, M Gallery, Novotel, Mercure, Rixos, Adagio, Banyan Tree, Mantis, Angsana, Movenpick, Raffles, Swissotel, Fairmont, and Ibis brands.
Accor has three elite levels to the program:
- Silver: Needs 10 nights or 2,000 points (€800 of eligible spend). Benefits are free internet, a welcome drink, and a 25% point bonus
- Gold: Needs 30 nights or 7,000 points (€2,800 of eligible spend). Benefits are free internet, a welcome drink, room upgrade, late check-out or early check-in, and a 50% point bonus
- Platinum: Needs requires 60 nights or 14,000 points (€5,600 of eligible spend). Benefits are free internet, a welcome drink, room upgrade, lounge access, late check-out and early check-in, and a 75% point bonus
- Some Accor brands offer specific extra benefits to different tiers
These benefits are worth having but do not provide discounts on room rates.
3. Book Early
Book as early and as soon as the rates come out if you can. This can be a year in advance! Last-minute discounts don’t usually happen in popular destinations, so waiting usually doesn’t work. In fact, if you book late, your ideal room may have sold out, and you could end up paying for a larger “better” room with facilities and views that you don’t really want.
4. Pick Up A Discounted Stay At Our Travel Auction

Usually, there are no refunds on advance purchase rates once you have locked in the rate, so do be careful if you go for this option.
6. Avoid The Main Season
Stay at your favorite Fairmont hotel or resort out of the high season. In cities, book at the weekends. In the countryside, book on weekdays. Try to anticipate when the crowds will want to stay and book when you think your favorite hotel will be less full.
As an example, Four Seasons Monte Carlo is superbly good value in the winter months, but in the summer, you will be paying through the nose to stay here. Of course, the weather is better in the summer, but April, May, and October can be great in this part of the Mediterranean.
7. Book A Brand New Fairmont Hotel
Brilliant new Fairmont hotels are opening all the time. Keep an eye out for one opening in a destination that you want to visit. New hotels are usually cheaper.
8. Stay Shorter
It sounds obvious, but I would prefer three nights at a truly great Fairmont than a week at a hotel in a less appealing destination. Even if you book in for one night, you can still take advantage of our early check-in / late check-out, free breakfast, and resort credit, and you still get the amenity.
9. Promo Codes
There may be corporate promo discount codes that you can use on the Fairmont website, so if you are an employee of a company like Goldman Sachs, Bank Of America, IBM, AAA, or the government, you might be able to take advantage of these discounts, we are not honestly sure whether these promo codes are relevant for this brand. But any corporate discount may not be as good as the complimentry benefits offered by our concierge. We suggest asking for a free quote so you can compare prices and benefits and get the full picture before booking.
10. Travel Somewhere Cheaper Destination
Paris is always more expensive than Kuala Lumpur. Portugal and Greece tend to be cheaper than England. Much of Asia offers incredible hotels for a fraction of the price of a similar hotel in Europe or America. Shop around for a bargain destination to get a top hotel for a discounted price.
The rates at these hotels may be cheaper, but you are not forgoing any of the luxuries.
