Receive complimentary breakfast at Luxury Hotels
What are the 10 best Hyatt beach resorts in the world? We focus on beachside hotels in this article in North America, Europe, and Asia. Interestingly, Asia tends to offer the best value for beachside luxury, but once you factor in the flights’ cost, this area of the world may not offer the best value beach vacation.
Our selection includes some of the best Hyatt hotels in Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Maldives, and Europe. If you collect World Of Hyatt points, then it’s worth knowing where you can best spend them for the perfect beach vacation and the best hotels to earn these points too.
If you have Globalist status, you automatically get free breakfast, but you don’t need to be a high tier loyalty member to benefit from a free breakfast at any Park Hyatt. Our luxury travel concierge offers great complimentary benefits, including breakfast, at Hyatt Regency, Park Hyatt, Andaz, and Grand Hyatt hotels, so it is always worth getting a quote before making your final booking decision.
1. Hôtel du Palais Biarritz
In Europe, Hôtel du Palais Biarritz is one of your best beachfront Hyatt picks. It has been launched as part of The Hyatt brand’s Unbound Collection, a collection of one-of-a-kind hotels from historic gems to revitalizing retreats. It will join the best Hyatt hotels in Europe and is a definite “must visit” for your bucket list.
Hôtel du Palais Biarritz pays homage to the property’s original architecture and history, the hotel and the majority of its 86 guestrooms and 56 suites have been meticulously restored to reflect the palace’s iconic past in French history.
The only historical palace on the French Atlantic coast, Hôtel du Palais Biarritz, is a majestic property that was first built in 1854 by Napoleon III for his wife, Eugénie de Montijo. The renovation process has rejuvenated and embellished its original and unconventional splendor, respecting the hotel’s history and legend while modernizing certain elements with the guest experience in mind. The hotel’s unique furnishings, rare paintings, and refined tapestries reflect the palace’s history.
2. Andaz Maui
There are six Hyatt hotels in Hawaii. Of these six, two main Hyatt hotels are on the island of Maui, Andaz Maui, which sits in the luxurious and peaceful Wailea Resort. Your other option is the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, which connects to the Hyatt Residence Club Maui on Kāʻanapali Beach.
While these are not the cheapest Hyatts Hawaii, they are two of the best.
Each hotel has an individual set of advantages. The hotel you choose depends on what sort of vacation you want. The Andaz sits in possibly the most luxurious resort area in Hawaii, Wailea. While this is a huge advantage if you are looking for serene beaches and sophisticated and expensive dining. If you are looking for action, nightlife, and cheap eats, the Kāʻanapali Beach area of the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort may well be a better choice. It really depends on what you are looking for.
Another advantage of the Andaz Maui is that it is in the same resort area as the Four Seasons Maui, one of the best Four Seasons in Hawaii. Even though you are staying at the Andaz, you can use many of the Four Seasons facilities during your stay in the resort area of Wailea. In particular, you can spend evenings in the bar and restaurants at the Four Seasons Maui whilst staying at the Andaz, which makes a nice change of scene. Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in the Four Seasons Resort Maui is one of the best restaurants on the Hawaiian islands.
3. Hyatt Regency Maui Resort
While the Andaz pool area is sophisticated for couples and honeymooners, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa offers more fun for kids and families and is located right on the beach. The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa also offers the best views of any of the Hyatt hotels in Hawaii with the Oceanfront rooms with Lanai.
The Maui Andaz and Maui Regency resorts on Maui both have better swimmable beaches than the Grand Hyatt Kauai and more private beach areas than your options in Waikiki. Both Waikiki options are near but not on the beach, whereas the Maui hotels sit right on their own patch of wonderful beach. If you are going to Hawaii for the beach, you need to pick one of the two Maui Hyatts.
Outdoors, an enticing seawater pool overlooks the ocean, while the famous cabanas on the waterfront offer guests a moment of relaxation. The pool cabanas each boast sunbeds, towels, a pool as well as beach access, and a private changing room, shower, toilet, and free Wi-Fi. Dedicated pool hosts offer care for each guest by serving refreshing amenities or lunch poolside.
4. Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas
Abu Dhabi is an amalgamation of old-world charm and new-age culture with trendy nightspots and the capital’s brimming cultural districts. All of this lies in close proximity to the award-winning Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, which provides its guests with the best of both worlds: the ability to relax and unwind on the most pristine shores of Saadiyat whilst also being able to get the adrenaline pumping with adventures on the sun-kissed sands of the Arabian desert.
The Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi is one of three Hyatt hotels in Abu Dhabi. There is also an Andaz and a Grand Hyatt, and we have investigated which is best: Park Hyatt Vs. Andaz Vs. Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi.
At Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, you can lose yourself in the luxury of an island sanctuary and enjoy stunning views of the Arabian Sea, landscaped gardens, and pool from your private balcony or terrace.
This stunning hotel features 306 generously sized and luxuriously appointed rooms, suites, and villas, some with private open-air plunge pools. These are the best rooms to pick. Sea View Rooms are large with floor-to-ceiling windows and delightful, chic Arabian cultural touches. Luxury extras include mp3 player docking stations, a Nespresso coffee maker, an open-plan marble bathroom with dual vanity sinks, Hans Grohe walk-in rain shower, a deep soaking stand-alone Toto bathtub, and Le Labo signature bath products.
The hotel has one of the largest swimming pools in Abu Dhabi and a 9km arc of pristine natural white sand beach. There are also 5 bars and restaurants serving an array of cuisines: The Park Bar & Grill serves carefully selected steaks while The Café showcases a selection of international dishes; the Beach House offers homemade Mediterranean dishes with amazing views of Saadiyat Beach; finally, the scenic Beach House Rooftop is known as one of the best bars in Abu Dhabi.
5. Park Hyatt Zanzibar
Zanzibar has always sounded like a mystical island to me. Perhaps I read too many storybooks when I was a child about shipwrecks and treasures on these distant spice islands. But it’s not these stories that attract the luxury traveler to Zanzibar. It’s the stunning and unspoiled white-sand beaches that are better than those in the Caribbean, largely because of the lack of crowds.
In the heart of Stone Town, placed majestically on the beachfront, you will find the Park Hyatt Zanzibar, a quintessential five-star hotel from which to experience the idyllic East African island of Zanzibar.
The hotel features 67 luxuriously appointed guestrooms and suites that offer understated elegance, with a hint of Indian, brass-studded chests and large bathrooms with standalone tubs plus twin basins, monsoon showers, lemony Laura Tonatto toiletries, and Voss water. The highlight of the rooms is the spectacular views of dhow harbors and the Indian Ocean.
Other facilities include an 18m oceanfront infinity pool facing the beach, a fully-equipped fitness center, gift shop, jewelry shop, hair salon, and a range of business, meeting, and event facilities.
In terms of dining, guests can enjoy a selection of four elegant restaurants showcasing both authentic cuisine and more casual fare, all with oceanfront terraces overlooking the local beach and the sparkling Indian Ocean.
This wonderful Park Hyatt has direct access to a white-sand beach and the Indian Ocean, offering understated luxury and terraces and an infinity pool overlooking the beach.
6. Hyatt Ziva, Cancun
Hyatt Ziva Cancun is an All-Inclusive Family Resort (as oppose to the Hyatt Zilara which is featured below and is adults only). The Caribbean Sea frames this stunning all-inclusive beachfront resort on the most beautiful strip of Punta Cancun. Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a playful family escape on Mexico’s Yucatan Coast.
They say, “Find your bliss on white-sand beaches and play in the clear blue waters. Relax in luxurious suites with balconies and breathtaking ocean views. Indulge your senses at 8 unique restaurants and 3 lounges featuring local and international cuisines. If you prefer your tastings in a more spirited form, there are 6 bars on the property, including a microbrewery! Spend a day to rejuvenate body and soul at the oceanfront spa, with optional massages, holistic body treatments, and a hydrotherapy circuit.”
7. Hyatt Zilara Cancun
The second best Hyatt in Cancun is situated on the widest stretch of beach in Cancun in the heart of the famous Hotel Zone, Hyatt Zilara Cancun and offers an adults-only oasis of all-inclusive, oceanfront luxury. This is one of the very few All-Inclusive Hyatt hotels.
Offering luxury accommodations, an array of authentic dining venues, and live entertainment in a stunning oceanfront setting, this is one of your best hotel choices in Cancun. Swim right up to your terrace, take in ocean views from the privacy of your bathroom, or watch the sunset from your tub.
Six dining venues invite you to sample regional favorites, an array of international dishes, and delicious libations from mixologists and sommeliers. Savor fresh seafood beachside or enjoy a teppanyaki show. From sumptuous buffets to tapas and fine tequila, it’s all included.
8. Hyatt Regency Hua Hin & THE BARAI
With a dreamy freeform pool and a golden sand beach Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and THE BARAI shares a beautiful stretch of beach.
Three hours by car from Bangkok, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, and THE BARAI are easy to get to for families, romantic escapes, business meetings, conferences, or wellness holidays.
The cluster-style low-rise accommodations feature 213 luxurious rooms and suites with views of the tropical gardens, lagoon, or pool. Other facilities include large free-form interconnecting pools featuring three distinctive pool areas: a river pool with a unique waterfall and Jacuzzi flowing into the interconnecting lagoon pool and the free-form pool with a 22m long and 7m high water slide, plus there’s a unique beach pool for children.
Overlooking lush tropical gardens and the Regency Club swimming pool, Club Olympus provides the ideal environment to keep fit during your holiday with Life Fitness bicycles, treadmills, and cross-trainers, as well as a range of free weights, are available 24 hours a day. Alternatively, enjoy the steam room or outdoor floodlit tennis court.
The super luxurious The Barai, with just 8 suites, is actually a hotel within a hotel and is attached to Hua Hin’s Hyatt Regency. The resort looks a little like a Moroccan kasbah, with a magnificent spa reached via a long, narrow corridor with interesting light formations and decorative window columns. A central pool evokes a feeling of calm and wellness.
Each suite at THE BARAI comes with a personal butler. There’s also a palatial pool and a huge spa, one of Thailand’s most impressive. Book a series of three, five, or seven-day wellness programs designed to help guests tune out from stressful lives. Guests staying at The Bari can also use the Hyatt Regency’s facilities.
The Hyatt Regency Hua Hin is an Award Category 3 World of Hyatt hotel, requiring just 12,000 points per night, so it is one of our list’s cheapest redemption options.
9. Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino
Hyatt Regency Aruba in the Caribbean has a white sand beach to die for and views from every window at the front of the hotel, across the almost luminous azure blue sea.
The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino is a 12-acre resort situated right on Palm Beach in Aruba. The beach is superb and very calm and offers every watersport imaginable, plus, there is a water slide for the kids and restaurants within walking distance.
Rooms here are your standard Hyatt fare with a tropical touch, but it is the rooms with a balcony overlooking the ocean that are the rooms and suites to pick. That said, the standard rooms at this hotel are usually peaceful, with only the parrots to wake you up.
Food in Aruba is fairly pricey, so it may be worth paying in cash or on points for Regency Club Lounge access at this hotel. The free breakfast in the lounge (except salmon, capers, a cheese board, fruit, bread cereal, and one hot egg dish) and filling snacks in the early evening, along with the range of free water, drinks, and snacks in the club during the day usually pays for itself. The food in the lounge is better than most Hyatt club lounges on American soil, and the view from the lounge down to the pools and beach is very special.
10. Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée
Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is a great hotel and base to explore Nice and the Côte d’Azur. It is not quite on the beach, no hotel is in Nice, but it is across the road from the beach.
Le Palais has been at the center of life on the Promenade des Anglais, Baie des Anges, for almost a century. It has been a glittering ballroom and a casino before its rebirth as a luxury hotel. Everyone who was anyone during France’s golden age of culture has stayed, played, or performed here, from Edith Piaf to Yves Montand and Johnny Hallyday. Remodeled and reopened as a hotel in 2004, le Palais retains its Art Deco, classically inspired façade.
There is now a separate world of luxury within the shell, befitting its prime location on the Côte d’Azur. Beyond the beautiful and cool lobby lies an excellent hotel in one of the world’s premier locations.
In terms of leisure facilities, Hyatt Regency Nice has a very pretty terrace on the third-floor level. It houses a large free-form swimming pool, which is part indoor and part outdoor, with a channel so that you can swim between the two. The outdoor pool terrace and bar is a very cool place to sit and sip champagne and cocktails, overlooking the promenade. There is also a fitness room equipped with good quality equipment, although it is quite small.
