Receive complimentary breakfast at Luxury Hotels

We have reviewed hotels in Philadelphia, the airport PHL, and the rest of Pennsylvania with the best club or executive lounges. Whether you are traveling as a couple, a family, or as a single business traveler, I conclude which hotel has the best club lounge in Philadelphia and beyond.

If you want to stay in luxury in Philadelphia, if your budget allows, you should consider staying at one of the best luxury hotels in Philly, the brand new Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center, soaring above Center City in the skyline’s tallest tower. This hotel is located atop a 60-story landmark by architect Lord Norman Foster. It offers restaurants by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and James Beard Award-winner Greg Vernick and a 57th-floor spa sanctuary, including an infinity pool and fitness center.

I have compiled a list below containing the club lounges available across luxury hotels in Philadelphia. I list the lounges that I consider to be the best of the best. I will be reviewing each of these hotel club lounges in detail so that you know what you’ll get if you book a room with club lounge access or get upgraded to a club lounge for free because of your loyalty status.

1. Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia

The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia, is a luxurious base from which to experience the city’s numerous historical attractions and the best in dining, shopping, and entertainment. Choose from 301 spacious bedrooms and suites featuring spectacular skyline views of the city.

Discover modern sustainable cuisine full of Latin American flavors, as well as handcrafted cocktails in Aqimero. Recharge with a soothing spa treatment at The Richel D’Ambra Spa & Salon.

Book a Club Room (pictured above), which features free Club Lounge access for up to 2 guests, and relax in the exclusive >Ritz-Carlton Club® Lounge on the 30th floor. This club lounge features continuous culinary presentations throughout the day (breakfast, light snacks, hors d’oeuvre, beverages, and sweets) and amazing views of City Hall.

It is worth noting that an additional charge of $50.00 USD per person per night is applied for children ages 12-17 and $100 USD per person per night for guests over the age of 18.

2. Loews Philadelphia Hotel

The 569 room Loews Philadelphia Hotel is located in the nation’s first skyscraper and combines living history with warm sophistication. Located in the heart of Center City, Loews Philadelphia Hotel is steps from historical attractions, and Pennsylvania Convention Center is directly across from the hotel.

Features at Loews Philadelphia include Flavor by Loews Philadelphia, which brings an authentically local culinary experience directly to you on property, Bank & Bourbon serving traditional American fare with a modern twist, 47,000 ft² of unique function space, with three ballrooms, POD Market located on the lobby level which offers more than just a cup of coffee and their heated indoor lap pool as well as complimentary Wi-Fi in every guest room and in public spaces.

Philadelphia has an old-world charm, yet there’s nothing old-fashioned about this hotel’s stunning guestrooms. Depending on your room type, you can choose from a king, a queen, or two full-size beds. These rooms are sleek and modern without ever feeling cold, with smartly designed workspaces and ergonomic chairs. The city view over the William Penn statue on city hall is particularly good. There’s free Wi-Fi access in all rooms and plenty of space for kids, pets, luggage, and more.

The 31st floor has been designated the Concierge Club Level. Guests on this floor have exclusive access to the Loews Philadelphia Hotel Concierge Club Lounge and its comfortable seating, stunning views, and complimentary continental breakfast each weekday.

3. Philadelphia 201 Hotel

Philadelphia 201 Hotel is probably your best Marriott Bonvoy hotel choice in Philadelphia. It is a Rewards Category 5 hotel costing around 35,000 points per night. This perfectly located Philadelphia 201 Hotel is in the heart of downtown Philadelphia’s prestigious Logan Square, within walking distance from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Love Park, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Surrounded by subway and bus stops and under a mile from 30th Street Station, our central location makes it easy to explore the city. There is a state-of-the-art fitness center, free Wi-Fi, two hotel restaurants, and 22 event venues. Rooms and suites are stylish and offer a mini-fridge, flat-screen TV with premium cable, and views of Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Ask for a room facing the fountain, which is particularly nice.

Book a club rate, and you get club lounge access. Alternatively, Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Platinum & Platinum Premier elites receive free executive club lounge access and continental breakfast daily in the executive lounge for free, whatever room they book. Within the lounge, you get free continental breakfast and all-day snacks (fruit and granola bars), along with soft drinks and bottled water. There’s a coffee machine here, too, and the club lounge Concierge here is phenomenal.

Breakfast has warm scrambled eggs with danishes and other bread-like croissants, bagels, freshly sliced melons, boxed cereals, yogurt, and juices. In the evening, food and drink are served 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Expect cold veggies and a chicken and rice type option with wine and beer for a fee. There have been reports of a lack of attention to detail in this lounge for replenishing items. Still, otherwise, this hotel and lounge is a good choice and definitely one of the best and most luxurious Marriott Bonvoy choices in the city.

4. Sheraton Society Hill

The Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel is located in the heart of historic Old City, within walking distance to some of the country’s most iconic destinations including the Liberty Bell, National Constitution Center, and Betsy Ross House. This hotel is a Rewards Category 4 hotel, which requires 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

Comfortable rooms and suites offer high-speed Wi-Fi and coffee makers. Taste is the hotel’s on-site restaurant, and there is a 24-hour fitness center. Book a club rate, and you get club lounge access. Alternatively, Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Platinum & Platinum Premier elites receive free executive club lounge access and continental breakfast daily in the executive lounge for free, whatever room they book. The exclusive lounge boasts free breakfast and refreshments throughout the day (soft drinks and snacks) and self-serve alcohol in the evening.

5. Philadelphia Marriott Downtown

Marriott Downtown Philadelphia is a rewards category 5 hotels costing around 35,000 points per night and is located in the city center, just steps from Reading Terminal Market and Independence Hall.

The Residence Inn Philadelphia Center City, Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown, and the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown are clustered together around two-thirds of a mile west of the historic district. They are perfectly located because you can get to all the major attractions easily via cab or Uber. Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown is the best of the three hotels. The rooms are comparatively nicer, quieter, and overall more comfortable, but the Courtyard does not have a club lounge.

The Marriott is a decent but typical run-of-the-mill large convention hotel. Well-designed rooms and suites feature deluxe bedding, city views, and modern amenities. There is a 24-hour complimentary Health Club, a heated indoor pool, Circ and 13 restaurants featuring contemporary American cuisine, and an on-site Starbucks.

Book a club rate, and you get club lounge access. Alternatively, Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Platinum & Platinum Premier elites receive free executive club lounge access and continental breakfast daily in the executive lounge for free, whatever room they book. This club lounge is open 7 days a week but closes after breakfast on weekends. During the day, you can access the lounge during the week but not at the weekends.

6. Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel

Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel is a category 4 Marriott Bonvoy property with a convenient location between the scenic campuses of University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University and near the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the 30th Street Station.

This hotel offers club rooms with access to the Club Lounge on the 20th floor. Here, you can enjoy a decent breakfast and light bites from the early evening.

7. Philadelphia Marriott Airport

Philadelphia Marriott Airport is one of your best choices at the airport as it is connected via skywalk to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) Terminal B. It has a club lounge which is closed on weekends and holidays, at which point you get a free continental breakfast in the main hotel restaurant. While convenient for the airport, this hotel is not a great base for exploring the city.

8. Sheraton Suites Philadelphia PHL Airport Hotel

If you book a club-level suite at Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport Hotel, you get access to the Club Lounge with breakfast, snacks, and beverages. This is one of the cheapest Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Philadelphia with club lounges and has been newly renovated. It is a Rewards Category 3 Marriott hotel costing 17,500 points per night but is obviously convenient for the airport but not for downtown.

At this cheap Marriott Bonvoy Sheraton, you can relax in spacious and modern suites featuring the renowned Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience, ergonomic desk chairs, and plasma TVs. Reenergize after a long day or flight at Sheraton Fitness or refresh in the pool. Try a great meal or drink in our Vector Restaurant & Lounge, a great place to connect with friends and loved ones. For quick bites, coffee, and beverages on the go, stop by the Vector Grab & Go. You can get to Philadelphia International Airport on the complimentary Sheraton shuttle.

Within the club lounge, breakfast plus evening appetizers are served, including veggies and dip plus cheese and crackers and 2 hot dishes plus a dessert, but no free alcohol.

Where Else Is Nice in Philadelphia?

Another luxury hotel where our luxury travel concierge offers excellent free benefits in Philadelphia is The Rittenhouse, which was home to Philadelphia’s Victorian aristocracy during the 19th century and attracts today’s gentry with its stately oaks, outdoor markets, fresh flowers and the seasonal progressive cuisine at Lacroix restaurant. Afternoon tea is a Center City event, and you can get around the city with the hotel’s complimentary chauffeured Jaguar, but this hotel does not feature a club lounge.

You may also want to try the Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square. The sophisticated (& pet-friendly) downtown hotel, Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, is conveniently situated near the Kimmel Center and Rodin Museum. Architectural highlights of the hotel include a geometric lobby floor design inspired by Shaker quilts and crafted from seven stone types. Then, explore art and culture nearby at impressive exhibits, including The Barnes Foundation’s world-class art collection.

Select from 306 elegant rooms on 14 floors, including 67 luxurious suites, all featuring Sofitel’s luxurious feathertop and duvet sleep system – SoBed. This hotel has a Liberte Lounge with Happy Hour but no executive club lounge.

Beyond Philadelphia In Pennsylvania

In Erie, the Sheraton Bayfront is a great choice for a waterside hotel with a club lounge. While this lounge is not large, it is located on the top floor of the Sheraton Bayfront. It provides complimentary evening snacks, canapes rather than a full meal with vegetable sticks and biscuits in the evening with alcohol for purchase, and breakfast in the morning with one hot dish, usually eggs or waffles. You can collect soft drinks at any time of the day in this lounge, as it is open 24/7.

There is also a Sheraton in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which offers free breakfast and evening canapes and free soft drinks along with alcohol for a fee.

Pittsburgh

There is a club lounge at the Renaissance Pittsburgh that offers breakfast on weekdays but is closed on weekends and holidays, at which point, you get a voucher of around $10 USD towards the main breakfast in the hotel.

In the city center, the Marriott City Center Pittsburgh is open on weekdays and is closed on Weekends and holidays when you get a voucher towards breakfast in the hotel.
