Sant Pere Del Bosc Hotel & Spa is located on top of a hill on the outskirts of the Spanish coastal town of Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava. This old monastery has been transformed into a stunning boutique hotel and relaxation oasis that is simply gob-smacking.
Location
This luxury hotel is reached by driving up a rural dirt road through a beautiful nature area packed with trails for hiking, mountain biking, dirt bike riding, and horseback riding. When you reach Sant Pere Del Bosc Hotel & Spa, the vista over the forest and onwards to the Mediterranean Sea in the distance is beautiful, peaceful, and varied.
Style & Character
You arrive at the front of this stunning building, and the grounds are surrounded by a gated fence and gardens. The car park is to the side of a statue, and a bar and restaurant are in front.
Rooms
The hotel has 19 suites, each individually designed and renovated with impeccable attention to detail and design. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and beautifully appointed. The interplay between the old and the new is amazing. Enjoy returning late evening after dinner and sitting outside in the quiet of the night under the starry sky.
Service & Facilities
The saltwater pool blends perfectly with the beautiful surroundings and offers plentiful plush chaise lounges as well as an adjacent indoor spa water circuit. Taking a saltwater dip is refreshing and meant to be healthy and toning. There is also a small swimming pool inside for cooler months.
There is an impressive Spa at Sant Pere Del Bosc Hotel, which offers more than 50 different treatments and a detailed brochure on Ayurveda.
Take a stroll in the extensive gardens, read a book, and bask in the silence and sunshine whilst absorbing the distant views of the mountains and the ocean behind. These gardens are large enough to find your own unique corner of nature to enjoy.
Food & Drink
The Mediterranean gastronomy offered in the restaurant L´Indià is rather special, and the surroundings are unique and inspiring. The food is exceptional, and Josep mixes tapas with fine cuisine using simple organic ingredients, planning a daily menu according to what is freshly available.
Breakfasts are tasty and can be taken at the restaurant L’India in the outdoor dining room, where you can also take cooking classes later in the day.
Conclusion
There are no trains to Lloret de Mar, so your best bet is to rent a car to take advantage of the wonderful mountainous surroundings, cute medieval villages, wineries and secret bays, and the beautiful town of Girona nearby. A taxi from Barcelona airport takes about an hour. Girona airport is closer by, and it costs less in a taxi. Ryanair flies to Girona.
Escape, destress, and eat well in this exclusive getaway in the sunshine. Even in the winter, it is warm enough to bask here with sunshine temperatures of around 20 degrees.
