Virgin Australia has recently launched a new Business Class product on its B777-300ER aircraft. This new product is available on the airline’s flights from Australia to Los Angeles, with Abu Dhabi to follow soon.

Review Of Virgin Australia’s Business Class

In this Business Class review on the B777-300ER, I look at the cabin layout, business class offering, and why this is an appealing product.

The new Virgin Australia business class cabin will feature just 37 reverse herringbone seats, arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration so that every passenger will have direct aisle access. Each seat reclines into an 80-inch fully lie-flat bed with a number of adjustable positions.

Seat features include a side desk area for your laptop and other devices and an 18-inch HD in-flight entertainment screen. Bedding of triple-layer seat cushions, memory foam mattress toppers, and high-grade cotton pillows is available on request.

A unique cocktail and canapé service with Bellini, Kir Royal, or Mimosas are served before the Luke Mangan-designed meal. There is also an onboard bar and lounge area open after the first meal service. This area, manned by the cabin crew, offers a selection of snacks and drinks. If you want, you can choose to have a continental breakfast at the bar before the full breakfast service. This Business Blass product also offers a REN amenity kit.

What Is The Best Business Class Seat?

The best business class seats on the Virgin Australia B777-300ER depend on whether you are traveling as a couple or alone. Centre seats include a retractable privacy screen that can be opened or closed so that you can be close to your traveling partner if you choose. This is a huge advantage for couples. As a single traveler, I would always choose a window seat so that I could look outside and also have a larger personal space. Virgin Australia is very right in suggesting their Business Class product is very good. Very few business offerings are designed in a 1-2-1, so there really isn’t a bad seat in Virgin Australia’s business class.

Virgin Australia Group chief executive John Borghetti believes this is the “best business class on the Pacific”. Because of the intimate cabin size and 1-2-1 seating arrangement, I would find it hard to disagree.
