These seats offer calf and foot rests, a cocktail tray, over-shoulder reading lights, winged headrests, noise-canceling headphones, large pillows, fleece blankets, bottled water, and amenity kits of a toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, and eye mask.
The entertainment system offers a 13.3-inch 3D-enabled LCD screen (the largest screen offered by any airline in premium economy). Singapore’s 777 routes can enjoy the latest Panasonic eX3, with a touchscreen and a live map “heads-up” mode showing what the pilots are seeing. Each seat also has two USB ports, one universal power outlet, and international in-flight Wi-Fi on select routes.
French champagne is offered before takeoff, bottled water before you sleep, and there is wine, beer, spirits, non-alcoholic “mocktails,” and five cocktails, including the 1915 classic recipe for a Singapore Sling on offer, as well as teas, coffees, juices, and soft drinks.
Before boarding, you can go online and pre-order a specific meal. Dishes must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance – previously a first- or business-class option only. All options are tasty for in-flight food and include an appetizer. All snacks onboard Singapore Airlines are complimentary and include crisps, chocolate, sandwiches, and fruit.
Best Seats In Premium Economy On Singapore Airlines Airbus A380
On the Airbus A380, the seats measure 19.5 inches wide (an inch larger than those offered on the Boeing 777-300ER). The A380 premium economy cabin has a 2-4-2 pattern, with five rows on each side of the aircraft, four rows in the center, and an intimate 36 seats. This compares to their economy seats in a 3-4-3 configuration. The best seats in premium economy on the Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 are 38AC and HK. These are at the front of the cabin with more foot space. Like much of the cabin, they are over-wing in view but are at the front of the wing. You will have a better view than being seated further back. Choose 38A and 38K if you prefer window seats and 38C and 38H if you prefer aisle – both seats have the advantage of being in a two rather than being part of the 4 in the middle, so only one person will climb over you if you are in the aisle. The worst seats in premium economy on the Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 are the middle seats E& F (unless you are a family of four and want to sit together), as you have to climb over other passengers to access the bathroom or go for a walk and being in the middle, they have no window.
Best Seats In Premium Economy On Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER
The Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER offers an inch less in seat width than the A380 at 18.5 inches across. The seats recline by eight inches and have a legroom of 38 inches (compared to only six inches of recline and 32 inches of legroom in economy). The Premium Economy cabin is, as usual, right behind the business-class cabin and in front of economy, and there are 28 seats total. The configuration is 2-4-2, with three rows of the side two-seaters, and four rows of the center fours. Again you want to opt for the two-seaters unless you are a family of four. The best seats in premium economy on the Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER are 32AC and HK. These are at the front of the cabin with more foot space, plus being on an exit row, you again benefit from the extra space. Choose 32A and 31K if you prefer a window seat, and 32C and 32H for the best aisle seats. The worst seats in premium economy on the Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER are the middle seats E& F (unless you are a family of four and want to sit together). These are the two middle seats in the four and are the absolute worst as you have to climb over other passengers to access the bathroom or go for a walk and have no window. It is worth noting that the whole premium economy cabin on the Boeing 777-300ER is over wing, so there isn’t a great deal of choice in terms of view. All seats look over the wing.
Pricing of premium economy is usually around one-and-a-half times the economy fare and half the cost of business class.
