1. Hôtel du Palais Biarritz

In Europe, Hôtel du Palais Biarritz is one of your best beachfront Hyatt picks. It has been launched as part of The Hyatt brand’s Unbound Collection, a collection of one-of-a-kind hotels from historic gems to revitalizing retreats.

Hôtel du Palais Biarritz pays homage to the property’s original architecture and history. The hotel and the majority of its 86 guestrooms and 56 suites have been meticulously restored to reflect the palace’s iconic past in French history. It also has a wonderful spa and an amazing beach.

The only historical palace on the French Atlantic coast, Hôtel du Palais Biarritz, is this majestic property that was first built in 1854 by Napoleon III for his wife, Eugénie de Montijo. The renovation process rejuvenated and embellished its original and unconventional splendor, respecting the hotel’s history and legend while modernizing certain elements with the guest experience in mind. The hotel’s unique furnishings, rare paintings, and refined tapestries reflect the palace’s history.

2. 7Pines Resort Sardinia

7Pines Resort Sardinia in Italy is a luxury beachfront resort overlooking the archipelago of La Maddalena. Offering unparalleled tranquility and laid-back luxury on one of Europe’s most distinctive coastlines, 7Pines Resort Sardinia represents the first hotel in Italy to join the Destination by Hyatt portfolio and is the first Hyatt-affiliated hotel in Sardinia.

The resort is situated in Baja Sardinia on the Costa Smeralda, just 10 minutes from the Porto Cervo neighborhood. This 76-room property is built within centuries-old rock formations with paths that weave through verdant gardens to the resort’s five secluded and unspoiled beaches near wild coves and an azur blue coastline. Guests can explore the emerald lagoons and heavenly beaches of the La Maddalena archipelago, by boat should they wish.

Piazza Martiri 7 authentically designed the 76 guestrooms with locally crafted features made from natural materials unique to Sardinia and include bespoke weavings, light fixtures, and furniture created from the island’s juniper trees. The natural materials echo in the neutral tones of the rooms, immersing visitors in the lush landscape of the resort’s 37-acre (15-hectare) gardens. The Sea Views rooms, the Suite Del Principe, and the 731-foot (68 m²) Suite Smeralda overlook the resort’s quiet beaches and have direct beach access.

The island’s calming scenery influences 7Pines Resort Sardinia’s approach to wellbeing, focused on providing a holistic offering to stimulate and revitalize guests. Pure Seven Spa offers a range of rejuvenating nature-inspired treatments, encouraging guests to lose themselves in a calm haven complete with indoor and outdoor treatment areas.

For guests looking to experience movement within nature, the resort’s fitness facilities are embedded within the landscape, with trails, a 24/7 fitness center, and two large outdoor pools to enjoy. Yoga and meditation sessions are also hosted on the beach, creating the perfect moment of peace and contemplation next to Sardinia’s coastline.

3. Schloss Roxburghe, Destination by Hyatt

Schloss Roxburghe, Destination by Hyatt, has just opened and is pictured above. It is set in the elegant countryside of the Scottish Borders, this historic estate features a luxury hotel, a championship golf course and a range of outdoor activities. In addition to the main house’s luxury accommodation, a separate extension offers 58 contemporary bedrooms and suites, a new restaurant, extensive spa facilities set in 600 m² with a heated outdoor swimming pool, and purpose-built banqueting suite.

Set apart from the main house, nestled in the grounds of the SCHLOSS, are our luxury Scottish Cottages – quaint houses that offer every comfort, privacy, and plenty of space to feel at home.

Cuisine here in SCHLOSS Roxburghe is top quality and varied, with an emphasis on fresh, home-grown produce. The perfect getaway destination, SCHLOSS Roxburghe is a little more than an hour’s drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the estate has been part of the 12.18. group since 2018.
An extensive and tasteful refurbishment has enhanced the charming and historic manor house. With two restaurants, three bars, two lounges and a 600 m² spa facility featuring two saunas and an outdoor infinity pool, this one is on our bucket list.

4. Park Hyatt London River Thames London

Yes you read my fourth-best Hyatt in Europe correctly. The Park Hyatt brand is meant to launch in London in 2023. The Park Hyatt London River Thames will encompass the lower 18 floors of a 42-storey tower currently under construction.

It will be one of London’s best riverside hotels. Park Hyatt London River Thames will offer stunning river views, signature Charlie Whinney pieces, and a convenient location in the heart of London. While the description says the heart of London, the location is less convenient than hotels like the InterContinental and Four Seasons Park Lane, which are in the center of all the tourist activities that you might want to explore.

5. Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill

Before the Park Hyatt actually opens, the best Hyatt in London is the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. This is one of the best luxury hotels in London, ideally situated overlooking Portman Square, just a short walk from Oxford Street and Marble Arch, tucked away in upmarket Marylebone. If you know the shops in this area, you will find this hotel just behind Selfridges.

The hotel has a regal entrance with lots of white pillars and white marble in the interior. The bar and restaurant sit on one side of the foyer, and lifts to the rooms can be found off the back of the foyer.

Unsurprisingly, there are many references to Winston Churchill in and around the hotel. The dining within the hotel is fairly unbeatable. Savor idyllic Portman Square views from The Montagu Kitchen as you sit down to enjoy the best British produce inspired by the National Trust’s Chartwell House and Garden in Kent. This is also where you take breakfast.

With an award-winning menu and outdoor seasonally-themed terrace, The Churchill Bar & Terrace is the perfect place to unwind with creative cocktails and light bites in a chic setting. Within the bar, there is an olde world cigar room-type feel. Inspired by Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine, The Churchill Bar & Terrace offers award-winning cocktails and delicious dining in a glamorous setting tucked away behind Oxford Street.

For some of the best dining in London can also be found here. Try the delicious Italian fare at Locanda Locatelli, a Michelin-starred restaurant located in the hotel. Locanda Locatelli features a menu of Italian-inspired cuisine, which has earned the acclaimed chef Giorgio Locatelli a Michelin star. The fresh, flavorful menu shines amid the chic ambiance. Enjoy homemade pasta, roasted monkfish, slow-cooked suckling pig, and more. Enhance your meal with a glass of fine Italian wine curated by the sommelier Virgilio Gennaro. The food here is fabulous. The best lobster I have ever had.

Globalist members get free access to the club lounge here, where you also get a decent offering at breakfast and dinner and snacks and drinks throughout the day. While the lounge is pleasant, it is not the best club lounge in London. The view is lacking, and the dinner offering becomes a scrum with lots of elbows as people push in to grab something from the dishes available. That said, this is still a nice facility and is separated into a family and an adults-only lounge for a quieter place to work.

Rooms are fairly standard by London standards. The nicest views overlook Portman Square. The amenities are Molton Brown and are really nice.

6. Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée

Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is a great hotel and base to explore Nice and the Côte d’Azur. It is not quite on the beach, no hotel is in Nice, but it is across the road from the beach.

Le Palais has been at the center of life on the Promenade des Anglais, Baie des Anges, for almost a century. It has been a glittering ballroom and a casino before its rebirth as a luxury hotel. Everyone who was anyone during France’s golden age of culture has stayed, played, or performed here, from Edith Piaf to Yves Montand and Johnny Hallyday. Remodeled and reopened as a hotel in 2004, le Palais retains its Art Deco, classically inspired façade.

In terms of leisure facilities, Hyatt Regency Nice has a very pretty terrace on the third-floor level. It houses a large free-form swimming pool which is part indoor and part outdoor with a communication channel so that you can swim between the two. The outdoor pool terrace and bar is a very cool place to sit and sip champagne and cocktails, overlooking the promenade. There is also a fitness room equipped with good quality equipment, although it is quite small.
