Which are the best airport hotels in Madrid, Spain? The main hotels in and around the airport include Hilton Madrid Airport, the Crowne Plaza Madrid and Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center, and Sercotel Madrid Aeropuerto.
The Marriott is the furthest from the airport but is the best and most luxurious of the airport hotels. It also has one of the best executive club lounges in Madrid.
And the best luxury hotel in Madrid? We think this is the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is spectacular! With a soaring grand lobby welcoming guests at its heart, Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is located within Centro Canalejas, also home to 22 Four Seasons Private Residences and the Galería Canalejas luxury shopping mall.
Of course, there is no Four Seasons rewards program, but if you are a regular guest of the Four Seasons or even want to try this iconic brand for the first time, you can take advantage of loyalty style benefits at Four Seasons hotels for no extra cost by booking your next stay via our luxury travel concierge.
Madrid is Spain’s central capital. It is a city of elegant boulevards and manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. It’s the place to come for European art, including the Prado Museum’s works by Goya, Velázquez, and other Spanish masters.
1. Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center
Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center is one of the few Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Madrid and it also has an executive club lounge. It is a superbly snazzy hotel, super stylish, and the lounge is gorgeous. The only letdown is the location, but the hotel does provide a number of shuttles to get around, plus there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel.
But this is not in a great location. The Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center is located between the International Airport and the city center, so it is ideal for events, conventions, exhibitions, and fairs. It also offers an impressive Auditorium for up to 2.000 seats.
This hotel is big! With 869 rooms, a wide variety of restaurant spaces, as well as the new concept in Madrid Buffet, an exclusive Executive Lounge for Marriott Bonvoy Members, an important Fitness Center area, as well as free shuttle service every 30 minutes to the Airport, you will not be left wanting.
The executive lounge is open seven days a week and offers soft drinks, tea, coffee, water and cheese, bread, and crackers with toppings available throughout the day, as there is no special happy hour with hot or extra light bites. The same food remains out all day, except in the evening, beer and wine is offered, so you can enjoy cheeses like brie with wine!
By contrast, the breakfast here is excellent with a cold buffet and an omelet station.
The look is super stylish, much snazzier looking than the InterContinental lounge with brown as the theme, natural brown slate walls, wooden floor, and some of the floor has a classy brown carpet, and the seating looks stylish too. There are sofa seats as well as stools and high tables.
There are more Marriott hotels in Madrid, including Hotel Círculo Gran Vía, Autograph Collection, Palacio Del Retiro, Autograph Collection, AC Santo Mauro, Autograph Collection, and The Westin Palace. Still, none of these Marriott Bonvoy hotels has a club lounge. They’re also used to be a Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra, but this hotel does not seem to be part of the Marriott hotel group anymore, although it did have an executive club lounge when it was.
2. Hilton Madrid Airport
Just minutes from Madrid Barajas International Airport and the bustling cosmopolitan city of Madrid, Hilton Madrid Airport is the perfect setting for world-class shopping, dining, meetings, and events, if you want a bargain and don’t mind being based at the airport.
Their complimentary shuttle goes from and to the airport, approximately every 30 minutes from 5:00 – 12:00 am. They also have a shuttle to the city center (check ticket fares at reception). The nearby metro station will also link you to the heart of Madrid and its unique attractions.
This hotel has an executive lounge and, a complimentary Fitness Center, Wi-Fi. Book their modern Executive Room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and enjoy access to the Executive Lounge with benefits including complimentary breakfast and refreshments.
Catch up with work at the desk and chair within your room, surf the web with Wi-Fi (fees apply) or curl up on the chaise lounge and watch an on-demand movie on the plasma TV. Re-invigorate your senses in the luxurious marble bathroom.
Special touches include complimentary access to the Hilton Fitness by Precor® Center and Hydrotherapeutic pool.
3. Crowne Plaza Madrid
This is probably the least appealing hotel in our listing. Rooms are basic Crowne Plaza with views to the runway (if you are lucky) and motorway (if you aren’t). There is a free shuttle to and from the hotel. It has a big bed, a large work desk, a leather office chair, and complimentary high-speed Internet. Interestingly, the bed is reportedly comfy, and the blackout curtains are effective, so you should get a good night’s sleep.
Book an executive room, and you get free access to the Crowne Plaza Madrid Club Lounge with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. The lounge is small and not very appealing, but the water and fruit are worth picking up.
4. Sercotel Madrid Aeropuerto
Located in a quiet and well-connected residential area, the Sercotel Madrid Aeropuerto hotel is a hotel in Madrid near the Madrid-Barajas airport.
With four stars, this is conveniently located north of Madrid and close to Madrid-Barajas Airport. It is equipped with numerous services and facilities, like an outdoor swimming pool (open according to season), a solarium terrace, free Wi-Fi internet, and a breakfast buffet. There is also a shuttle service to the Adolfo Suárez International Airport in Madrid-Barajas.
The hotel shuttle bus service is handy to get to and from Madrid airport. For business guests, there are 2 meeting rooms where different events and meetings can be held.
In addition to free Wi-Fi and amenities, rooms can accommodate up to 4 people, ideal for families with children and groups of friends. This is a great choice if you travel to Madrid and want to stay near Madrid-Barajas Airport.
