In this review, I investigate the best Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Airport Lounges for those traveling in Upper Class which is Virgin Atlantic’s Business Class. The lounges I review include those in London Heathrow Terminal 3, Gatwick, and LAX as well as the world’s first Virgin airport lounge on the beach, which you can book into if you book travel through Virgin Holidays.
We’ve also reviewed flights in Virgin Atlantic in Upper Class and those on Virgin Atlantic in Premium Economy.
Which Clubhouse lounge is best? Well, it is probably Virgin’s £11 million GBP Clubhouse at London Heathrow. The Clubhouse also has outposts in LAX, Newark, JFK, San Francisco, Boston, Washington Hong Kong, Johannesburg and Gatwick. These lounges are fun, well designed, and offer better food than the BA Galleries lounges.
When comparing lounges, British Airways airport lounges beat the Virgin Atlantic lounges only if you are traveling in First, as you get access to its exclusive Concorde Room and Galleries First lounge. But the Clubhouses knock the socks off the British Airways Galleries lounges for those traveling in Upper Class or Club World. The prize for the best Airport Lounges in the world does, however, probably go to Qatar Airways for its jaw-dropping Al Safwa First Class Lounge in Doha’s new Hamad International Airport.

Virgin Clubhouse Airport Lounge Reviews
Review: Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, London Heathrow
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at London Heathrow Terminal 3 has the reputation of being one of the best Airport Lounges in the world, so I couldn't resist giving it a try on my last trip out of Heathrow to San Fransisco in Virgin Upper Class. Virgin has done well with this lounge. It is reached via a lift with a sofa in it (what fun!), and although it is not intimate, chic, or exclusive, it is the most futuristic and colorful lounge I have experienced.
Review: Virgin Clubhouse LAX
The brand new Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse club lounge is located in Terminal 2 at Los Angeles International Airport. I can now share some super photos of this new Virgin Flying Club. What really stands out about this lounge is the wall of windows offering a view over the planes and overlooking the Hollywood Hills. This lounge is exciting because Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses are fun! Yes, there are more luxurious lounges out there. The British Airways Lounges in Heathrow, for example, are stylish and sophisticated (at least the Concorde room is..) but are they fun?
The World’s First Airport Lounge On A Beach
According to the TheLuxuryTravelExpert & Manchester Evening News, Virgin Holidays is intending to launch the world’s first airport lounge on a beach. This "Departure Beach" will enable travelers to spend even the very last moments of their holiday on the beach. This airport lounge will be located in Barbados and will include a private air-conditioned lounge, bathroom and showering facilities, bar and restaurant, and a Virgin Atlantic check-in. This will all be right on the beach, as pictured above.
We also compare British Airways Club World Vs. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class, American Airlines Vs. British Airways and British Airways Vs. Emirates Vs. Etihad Vs. Qatar, Best First Class Airline and the best airlines to fly to Europe in Business Class.
