Book A Hotel

We have reviewed most of the best club lounges in London and the executive lounge at Langham London is one of the best. Their Club Lounge adds a new level of luxury to this already impressive and very British-feeling hotel.

What’s Special About The Langham London Club Lounge?

Why do I rank the Langham London Club Lounge so highly? This lounge is stunning. There is no other way to describe it. You enter down a corridor that reminds me of a Library with regal books lying open, depicting the British Royal Family. At the end of the corridor, you step down a few steps, and you have arrived at this very large Club Lounge.

To your immediate right is the welcome desk, where you can check-in and check-out. Beyond this desk area is a vast food area and a more intimate sitting area with dimmed lights that feel like a bar. Ahead of you is a seating area, and to your left is a business area with computers, toilets, and further seating.

The interior design is classic and extremely stylish. In fact, this is easily the most stylish Club Lounge in London, but it is the staff and the food that really makes it stand out. Usually, a Club lounge will have one or two staff members catering to the guests. In this Club Lounge, there must have been 5-10 laying out the food, arranging drinks for guests, and generally making your life so easy that you don’t need to lift a finger. This is NOT the kind of lounge where you will find yourself carrying your own food back to your seat from the buffet!

Food & Drinks

This deserves a separate section. The volume, selection, and quality of food in this lounge is overwhelming. Usually, in a Club Lounge, breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner are toned-down versions of what might be offered in the main restaurant. Not so in this lounge.

Breakfast (served 6:30 – 11:00 am) was a vast array of buffet items plus eggs made for you any way you liked.

Afternoon tea (served 2:00 – 5:00 pm) has so many choices of sandwiches, patisseries, and cakes that you may well not have room for dinner.

Dinner, described as “Evening Canapes,” is really a full meal service (served 5:30 – 8:00 pm) and is not to be missed. Try not to stuff yourself too much at the afternoon tea. On offer is an array of cold meats and fish, a huge shell containing oysters (impressive, although not something I am keen on), as well as salads and puddings. If you want something hot, there is a delicious-looking soup. You can see the sheer volume and quality of the food in my photos. You do not need to eat out.

What Is The Best Club Or Executive Lounge In London 2022
What Is The Best Club Or Executive Lounge In London?

Tips

What is the best club or executive lounge in the top luxury hotels across London? The club lounge at the InterContinental London has the best club lounge for views (pictured above), and the Langham hosts the best club lounge for food in London. Book a standard room at the InterContinental London Park Lane via our luxury travel concierge (rates tend to range from £400 GBP to £600 GBP depending on the day and the season), and you will get a guaranteed room upgrade and Club Lounge access free. This has got to be one of the best hotel deals in London!

Views

The only thing this lounge doesn’t offer is immense views. For this you should try the “Club InterContinental” which includes the lounge at the InterContinental Park Lane and the lounge at the InterContinental London The O2, which have by far the best views. The views from this lounge are over rooftops as the lounge is a large space at the top of the building, slightly in the eaves (again, see photos).

Atmosphere

Most Club Lounges are largely frequented by business travelers on phones and doing meetings. They tend to outnumber leisure travelers. This is not the case in the Langham Club lounge. The Langham Lounge is the kind of place that I could imagine spending time in while writing a novel. It has a creative atmosphere and seemed to have more leisure travelers than business while we were there.

Conclusion

This lounge is my favorite Club Lounge in London, and staying in this hotel also means that you have access to a superb pool if you like a swim or have kids that like a swim, which is a huge bonus in London. The hotel also has an excellent bar (frequented by BBC presenters, as the hotel is across the road from the BBC) and the most excellent Jazz lounge, which is my favorite place to spend an evening in London.
