The The Belfry Hotel & Resort, won England’s Leading Resort 2018 and lies tucked in the Midlands region of the UK.
Location
The Belfry Hotel & Resort is located in Sutton Coldfield, in the heart of the UK, just 20 minutes from the city of Birmingham. The hotel is surrounded by over 550 acres of immaculate grounds and the idyllic north Warwickshire countryside.
Style & Character
The iconic hotel oozes British class and elegance and much deserves its England’s Leading Resort title, which is retained again at the recent World Travel Awards. Although the place has an old-world charm, the décor is contemporary and chic, with a soft, neutral color palate that adds to the already generous feeling of space in both the guestrooms and communal areas.
Service & Facilities
The facilities are excitingly good; the golf course – is world-renowned, the spa – state of the art and the dining options – plentiful, varied, and of course, delicious! Golfers will be kept thoroughly entertained with the three world-class golf courses, The Brabazon, PGA National, and The Derby, and an onsite golf shop. And if golf isn’t for you, then the leisure center includes a large gym, a swimming pool, a sauna, and a steam room. Their infamous and unique Fire & Ice Experience is highly recommended and involves 90 minutes of relaxation as you journey through 12 bio-thermal rooms. It’s designed to enhance your mood and invigorate your senses! For some first-class pampering, the Belfry Spa offers a full range of beauty and spa treatments with 16 luxurious treatment rooms, an elegant relaxation room, and a stylish finishing studio.
The sensational staff befit the hotel; they are charming, professional, and helpful.
Rooms
The 319 luxurious guest bedrooms and suites overlook the grounds or golf course, and all have The Belfry’s signature touches, making your stay extra comfortable; cozy duvets, crisp bed linen, excellent pillows, and fluffy towels all must-haves for a beautiful luxury travel experience. Choose whether single, double, twin, or double double suits your needs, and then if you want a room, opt for a signature room or upgrade to the Superior, which are newly refurbished and just that bit more luxurious. For the ultimate in luxury, though, it has to be a suite, and you have a choice of three here; the romantic Signature Suites with a generous living area (request yours with a balcony), the historic and ultra-luxurious Manor House Suites, or the vast Presidential Suite.
Food & Drink
The range and caliber of the restaurants at The Belfry suggest that you need more than one night here! The Ryder Grill is a AA Rosette Restaurant that offers a la carte dining specializing in steaks, chargrills, fish, and lobster; dine alfresco on the terrace overlooking the Brabazon golf course if the weather permits. Or there’s the more casual and trendy The Ryder Kitchen which serves up a 3-course, hand-crafted buffet, and an infamous Sunday Lunch. If you’re in the mood for Italian, then Rocca’s Pizza Pasta has all classics, or you can take afternoon tea in The Brabazon Lounge. Bars don’t miss out, either. There are two; the rather hip Brabazon Bar is an excellent haunt for a stylish cocktail and comes alive as the night sets in, or Sam’s Club House is a fabulous sports bar where you can tuck into burgers and wings while watching the latest action on the big screens. And if you’ve got the energy after enjoying the facilities and the exceptional dining, let your hair down in style at the Bel Air Nightclub & Lounge.
