Some of the most expensive Four Seasons hotels, and possibly the most amazing in historic glamor, are also some of the cheapest if you book in low season. Equally, some lesser-known cities like Budapest offer wonderful Four Seasons hotels at incredibly low rates.
The Four Seasons brand of hotels doesn’t discount its rooms, but you can sometimes buy a packaged-up break with free nights. Equally, if you book on unpopular nights, such as winter weekends in European cities, or Sunday nights at hotels like Four Seasons Hampshire, you can pick up a much cheaper room rate.
There’s no Four Seasons rewards program, but if you are a regular guest of the Four Seasons or even want to try this iconic brand for the first time, you can take advantage of loyalty style benefits at Four Seasons hotels for no extra cost by booking your next stay via our luxury travel concierge.
Here is my pick of the world’s least expensive Four Seasons hotels. It is not a definitive list, as rates change constantly, and new Four Seasons hotels are popping up everywhere. The rates below were correct at the time of writing, and I hope my choices will inspire you to fly away. These luxury hotels are affordable at certain times of the year. You just need to know how to play the game!
1. Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat
I kid you not. The Four Seasons resort in question is The Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat. This is undoubtedly one of our favorite hotels in the world and the best Four Seasons in Europe. It is immaculate and perfect in every way, and if I were a billionaire, I would spend the entirety of every summer in one of its beautiful suites with its own wonderful private pool.
Even the standard rooms are fantastic here, with stylish modern rooms, comfy beds, and views over pine trees or across to the deep blue Mediterranean. The gardens are stunning. There is not a leaf out of place; the views are magnificent; the pool is enormous; the entire resort is almost unbelievably perfect.
So how is this Four Seasons so cheap? Well, the Cote D’Azur is completely seasonal. In fact, this hotel closes in the winter. The key is to stay just before it closes or just after it opens. You can snag a room here for the super low price of €575 EUR per night at the start of November, just before the hotel closes, and at the end of March, just after the hotel opens. The same rooms are available for over €2,500 EUR or more in July and August.
This hotel is undoubtedly one of the best Four Seasons in the world. It offers chic perfection in the balmy summer with high prices to match, but in the cooler spring and autumn, it has some of the best deals of any Four Seasons hotel around the world while still being a fantastic place to stay.
Four Seasons Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat is one of the most expensive Four Seasons hotels in the world, but if you are prepared to stay there in the low season, this hotel is an absolute bargain.
Review: Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons Hotel
The best hotel on the French Riviera is the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons Hotel located near the small town of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. Set in Belle Epoque splendor in a building that dates back to the 1800s, this ultra-luxury hotel offers everything you would expect of the very best Four Seasons hotel, but with a sprinkle of French chic. We most recently stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Cap-Ferrat in April 2022.
2. Four Seasons Mallorca, Spain
Four Seasons Mallorca (pictured above) is not only the best Four Seasons in Europe, but it is also one of the best Four Seasons beach resort in the world. We were amazed by this hotel’s beauty and setting in a national park.
The hotel emerges from a forested hillside at the base of towering mountains that rise dramatically from the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters. You might easily mistake these rugged peaks for the volcanic landscapes of Hawaii or the Piton mountains of Saint Lucia. Their unexpected grandeur feels worlds away from the typical scenery one envisions on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca.
The recent refurbishment, completed just two weeks before our visit, has transformed this stunning Four Seasons hotel, making it feel completely brand new. Every aspect—from the design and decor to the rooms and pools—feels freshly built and thoughtfully crafted. The resort seamlessly integrates with its surroundings, allowing guests to fully embrace the sea, forest, outdoor living, and relaxation at every turn.
The beach at Four Seasons Mallorca is gobsmackingly gorgeous, and it sits on the edge of a bay that is protected by surrounding islands. This means that the sea in this bay is almost always flat calm, like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountainsides like an oil painting.
Four Seasons offers serviced loungers just a short walk from the hotel, where you can unwind on plush chairs with thick cushions, shaded by rustic wooden and straw parasols. The beach’s soft sand extends into the water, providing a smooth, velvety seabed as you wade into the sea.
Beyond the beach, the resort boasts two stunning pools, a serene spa pool, manicured lawns, and a terrace where live music fills the air each evening. Two restaurants complete the experience—one on the veranda and the other by the shoreline, perfect for dining under the stars. Tucked away in a protected forest, the entire resort feels blissfully secluded from the outside world.
Try and stay at the end of Ocober to early November or just before Easter for the best prices. You can snag a stay here for around €650 EUR per night rather than the summer €1950 EUR price tag if you’re prepared to risk the weather.
Review: Four Seasons Mallorca
Four Seasons Resort Mallorca At Formentor is an extraordinary boutique Four Seasons hotel hidden in an unspoiled nature reserve on Mallorca’s sparkling coastline. I can’t think of any other hotel in Europe with such a stunning setting, plus this Four Seasons hotel offers direct access to a pristine beach. The hotel peeps out of a forested hillside at the foot of huge mountains that rise directly from the crystal clear Mediterranean. You could be forgiven for mistaking these mountains for the volcanic landscape in Hawaii or the Piton peaks in Saint Lucia.
3. Four Seasons Gresham Palace Budapest, Hungary
Four Seasons Budapest is the most incredible and historic Four Seasons hotel. I can’t think of any hotel in the world with a more impressive lobby. The hotel’s Art Nouveau façade is a lavish blend of arches, columns, and sculptures, and guests enter through a grand, original black-iron gate adorned with intricate details and framed by glass.
Inside, cool air from the air conditioning flows through the vast interior. Beneath your feet, a dazzling mosaic floor shimmers with thousands of tiny cream stone tiles, while above, the glistening spikes of a Preciosa chandelier dangle from the domed ceiling.
In the afternoon, the soft melodies of a piano fill the air as guests indulge in rich Hungarian pastries. By evening, mixologists craft cocktails, serving them in this majestic setting. The atmosphere evokes the charm of a historic shopping arcade, making it easy to picture horse-drawn carriages delivering wealthy patrons to this elegant, covered space over a century ago.
Beyond this incredible foyer is a beautiful multi-level spa and pool, a brasserie-style restaurant with a bar that spills out onto the cobbled street beyond, offering a great place to enjoy a drink watching the throngs of tourists and locals pass by, and many of the rooms offer incredible views of the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, a chain bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda, and the tree-covered hills and Buda Castle, beyond.
The crazy thing about this phenomenal hotel is its price. Budapest is a cheap city by Western standards, as living costs and salaries are lower in Hungary than in Western Europe. Consequently, this Four Seasons is cheap for a Four Seasons hotel, and yet this hotel is easily as luxurious as any other Four Seasons in the world. Their no-expense-spared breakfast is particularly exceptional, and you can get this for free if you book your stay via our luxury travel concierge.
The price here is usually under €800 EUR per night and, in the winter, it costs less than €500 EUR per night. This is frankly a ridiculous price for such an amazing Four Seasons hotel.
Review: Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest
Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest is a haven of luxury and tranquility set amidst the ever-evolving bustle of Budapest. Our arrival was on a hot day. It was around 35 °C centigrade outside, and upon entering the cool and classy Gresham Palace, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders as the bellmen relieved me of my bags and ushered me over to the smiling receptionist. Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest has the best location of any hotel in Budapest.
4. Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina
Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina is usually the cheapest Four Seasons hotel in Hawaii, and it is also one of the easiest to get to, being only a short drive from Honolulu International Airport, the main and largest airport in Hawaii. This hotel is also awfully convenient for shopping in Waikiki, which is a drive away.
Nestled along the pristine shores of Ko Olina on the island of Oahu, the Four Seasons Resort Oahu offers a luxurious escape in paradise. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean, this resort provides guests with a serene and indulgent retreat.
The resort features elegantly appointed guest rooms, suites, and private residences, each offering modern amenities and spacious layouts designed for comfort and relaxation. Many accommodations boast private lanais or balconies with stunning ocean or garden views, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the island.
Dining at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu is a culinary delight, with a variety of restaurants and bars offering diverse cuisines and exquisite flavors. From fresh seafood and farm-to-table dishes to innovative cocktails and fine wines, guests can indulge their palate while enjoying breathtaking vistas of the ocean or the resort’s lush landscape.
For relaxation and rejuvenation, the resort offers a range of luxurious amenities, including a tranquil spa with a variety of treatments inspired by Hawaiian traditions, as well as infinity-edge pools, whirlpools, and a fitness center overlooking the ocean. Guests can also partake in outdoor activities such as snorkeling, surfing, golfing, and hiking, or simply lounge on the pristine beach and soak up the sun.
While Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina is usually the cheapest Four Seasons in Hawaii, Lanai and Hualalai are usually considered the best Four Seasons in Hawaii.
What Is The Best Four Seasons Hotel In Hawaii?
Four Seasons has four hotels in Hawaii: Four Seasons Hualalai (on Big Island), Four Seasons Lanai, Four Seasons Maui at Wailea, and the Four Seasons Oahu at Ko Olina, which is the newest of the four. They are all gorgeous, and they are all pretty expensive. They all feature in our picks of the best Four Seasons hotels in the world. Four Seasons is a particularly outstanding hotel brand, and Four Seasons hotels are usually the best option in any resort area. My reviews of the Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii can be found below.
5. Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg
Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg is an amazing property that we reviewed a few years ago. Despite being in the middle of South Africa’s largest city, the Westcliff Hotel sits high on the rocky Witwatersrand. It feels like a chic hillside village, with nine sun-splashed villas woven with courtyards, fountains, and gardens. The Willy Wonka-style glass elevator will transport you to the restaurant for dinner and drinks with a view. Below, the endless canopy of jacaranda trees will capture your imagination.
And the price? The room rate at this hotel is consistent throughout the year, but they sometimes offer a discounted four nights for the price of three deal which is a bargain at any time of the year for the best hotel in Johannesburg. Stay in the spring, and the hotel seems to float in a sea of purple as the jacaranda trees blossom.
Review: Four Seasons The Westcliff, Johannesburg
The Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg is a cliffside garden retreat overlooking the city’s prestigious northern suburbs. We originally reviewed this hotel in 2015, just after it had been transformed by UK-based hospitality design agency Black Sheep. The hotel features 117 guest rooms and suites featuring cool, contemporary décor inspired by modern Africa. The Westcliff is conveniently located just 25 minutes drive from the International airport within Park Town.
6. Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur
The best value Four Seasons Hotel in Asia is probably Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur probably has my favorite Four Seasons Club Lounge in the world with an open-air deck!
This amazing property costs usually come in relatively cheap due to the lower staffing and land costs in Kuala Lumpur compared to London and New York. Just read our review of the Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur to find out how good this Four Seasons hotel is!
Review: Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur
On a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur, I had the chance to stay in the excellent Four Seasons hotel. Kuala Lumpur, long known amongst frequent travelers as a city with cheap upscale hotels and cheap flights, is undergoing a hotel renaissance. A bunch of luxury hotels have opened, and there are more in the works, with the Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur being amongst the best luxury hotels. Housed in the towering Four Seasons Place building next to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park, the hotel offers 209 guest rooms, suites, and 27 serviced apartments.
7. Four Seasons Langkawi
If you are looking for that escape, that paradise experience, to leave behind all the pressures of modern life, Four Seasons Langkawi is the perfect place. There is magic here. It seeps in gently, and after a few days, you just forget the world.
Langkawi is a tropical island paradise in Northern Malaysia, with white sandy beaches, dense jungle, fascinating wildlife, and delicious food. As Southeast Asia’s first UNESCO Geopark, the geology and ecology are guaranteed to astound. Langkawi is actually an archipelago of 100 islands, 30 km offshore in the Andaman Sea. The majority of travelers will stay on the large Langkawi Island, where most of the area’s 750 hotels are located.
The Four Seasons is located on the island’s quieter northern side, along a mile-long sandy beach in beautifully landscaped gardens. The resort feels secluded, yet the airport is only 25 minutes away, and the hotel is a short boat ride from the Klim Karst conservation area, where you can spot macaque monkeys, sea otters, and the unique walking mudskipper fish.
Perhaps I’ve sold you on the place, but how about the price? The best deal for this gorgeous beach resort is their third-night free deals, and it’s worth every penny.
Review: Four Seasons Resort Langkawi
Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is all about the pool, the beach, and relaxation. In this review, we outline all the reasons to book into this tropical Four Seasons hotel which is one of the best hotels in Langkawi when we compared Four Seasons Resort Langkawi Vs. Ritz-Carlton Langkawi Vs. St. Regis Langkawi Vs. The Datai Langkawi. In fact, Four Seasons Resort Langkawi was named the highest-ranked Resort in Malaysia by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Award. This is the kind of place where you forget what day it is. Where you stop thinking about what day it is.
8. Four Seasons New York Downtown
Many of the Four Seasons in America are seasonal. Book for New Year’s Eve at the Four Seasons New York Downtown and the price will be ridiculous. Travel a few days later, and the rates will cost much less.
Locations of Four Seasons hotels in the Americas include Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Buenos Aires Carmelo, Uruguay, Chicago, Costa Rica, Dallas at Las Colinas, Denver, Hawaiʻi (Hualalai), Hawaiʻi (Lānaʻi at Mānele Bay), Hawaiʻi (Lānaʻi, Lodge at Kōʻele), Hawaiʻi (Maui), Houston Los Angeles (Beverly Wilshire), Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington D.C. Canadian Four Seasons hotels include Four Seasons Whistler for ski, Vancouver, and Toronto.
Beyond New York, two pretty cheap American hotels include Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North with dreamy views of the high Sonoran Desert, an award-winning Spa, priority golf privileges at Troon North, tennis, hiking, and horseback riding. Rates here are cheap if you book in the summer.
Four Seasons Vegas is even more of a steal in the hot August heat. Look at the famous glittering lights below and the serene Mojave Desert. This non-gaming oasis of Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers a Five Star Spa and an award-winning steakhouse. It is probably the cheapest Four Seasons hotel in America.
Top 10 Best Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts In Europe
The best Four Seasons hotels in the world include Four Seasons Mallorca, Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, Four Seasons Lanai in Hawaii, Four Seasons Whistler, and Four Seasons Los Cabos. Specifically, in Europe, you will find Four Seasons hotels in Athens, Baku, Budapest, Florence, French Riviera (Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat), Geneva, Hampshire, Istanbul at Sultanahmet, Istanbul at the Bosphorus, Lisbon, London at Park Lane, London at Ten Trinity Square, Madrid, Megève, Milan, Moscow, Paris, and Prague.
9. Four Seasons Maui
There are five Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii. We have already outlined the best luxury hotels in Hawaii. Clue: the best hotels are the Four Seasons hotels. I think the Four Seasons Lanai is the most other-worldly resort with a breathtaking and deserted beach.
The other top pick is Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Big Island. With open-air showers, turtles on the beach, and a pool full of fish to swim in, what’s not to like?
I put the Four Seasons Maui in at number three. There is so much to do in the resort area of Wailea; it is an exciting place to stay.
And the lowest rate? Four Seasons Maui offers rates from around $1000 USD per night for a mountain view in July and August, which will be upgraded to a Garden View (subject to availability at check-in) if booked with our travel concierge. Four Seasons Resort Oahu tends to be a smidge cheaper and represents a great deal for this caliber of hotel in the Hawaiian Islands.
The trick in Hawaii is to book in advance so that the base rooms are still available. If you leave it to the last minute, you may be left having to book the ocean view rooms, which can be a lot more expensive. Also, look out for offers on each property’s homepage and then book through our luxury concierge to get all our benefits.
Review: Four Seasons Maui
We have reviewed the best Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii, which includes the stunning Four Seasons Maui in the most exclusive resort on Maui, Wailea. Four Seasons Maui is the most resort-based Four Seasons hotel on the Hawaiian Islands, in the exclusive resort area of Wailea. I reviewed the best way to get deals and special offers at Four Seasons Maui. The key is to book your next Four Seasons stay via our luxury travel concierge, as we can give you free loyalty-style benefits, room upgrades, and perks while matching the rates on the Four Seasons Maui website.
10. Four Seasons Hampshire
The Four Seasons Hampshire is located in the heart of the English countryside, but it is not far from London, making it convenient for a weekend break. Consider booking a stay here on a three-for-two deal or a Sunday night when nights are often cheaper (remember, these deals are only available in the low season).
Saturday nights and a half terms tend to get booked up and expensive because it is one of the few English country hotels that welcome children (it has a great pool, kids pool, playground, and a fantastic kids club). For the best deal, book on a Sunday night and take advantage of all our Four Seasons concierge benefits for the night.
Currently, Four Seasons Hampshire is offering three nights for the price of 2 rates, meaning if you book the full three nights, rates are coming in at £500 GBP for a Sunday night in the winter.
Four Seasons Hampshire Review
The first time we reviewed Four Seasons Hampshire was back in 2016, and following a return visit, I feel compelled to share exactly why this hotel is hands down the best family hotel in the English Countryside and one of the best Four Seasons hotels in the world. The Four Seasons Hampshire is set in a beautifully restored Georgian Manor on a 500-acre estate in the English countryside. The hotel is only just over an hour from central London by car and just 10 minutes from Fleet railway station (with a train service to London Waterloo Station four times an hour).
What About The Promo Code On The Four Seasons Website?
There is a box on the Four Seasons website that says promo code. This may be related to senior, government, military, friends and family, residence club, or hotel staff rates, but I have yet to find any promo code that works for usual guests at the Four Seasons.
The only way to find quick-fix discounts and special offers at each Four Seasons hotel is in the offers section on each hotel page. You can then get all our benefits in addition to these special offers and promo codes by booking your stay with our luxury travel concierge. This will get you the best deal possible, plus our direct contact with each hotel’s staff will ensure VIP treatment throughout your stay.
