Which is the best luxury hotel in the Caribbean? Where you can sun yourself on a white sand beach, dip your toes in turquoise waters, and explore tropical peaks. The best, award-winning hotels in the Caribbean are the stuff of dreams. Our pick of the best luxury hotels in the Caribbean can be found below in no particular order.
This is our pick of the best luxury hotel in the Caribbean in no particular order.
1. Baoase Luxury Resort
Baoase Luxury Resort (pictured above) is the perfect place to kick off your shoes and dip your toes in the water bowl outside your entrance at Baoase Luxury Resort.
Designed to rinse the sand from your feet, the bowls, along with the rest of this romantic retreat, set on Curacao’s south end, magically wash away every care. Rich woods, Asian stonework, and Buddhist statues add to the Zen vibe, as does the tropical foliage enveloping the 23 rooms, suites, and villas.
Curacao is a Dutch Caribbean Island known for its beaches, coves, and vibrant coral reefs. It offers year-round sunshine and is fortunately located outside the hurricane belt.
The hotel is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood and is right on the beach with meandering free-form pools, waterfalls, swaying palm trees, and an idyllic private beach. The grounds include two mini islands connected to the main resort by bridges. These islands shelter the resort’s beachfront so you can swim in a calm and protected cove.
Guest rooms feel private and cocooned away from the “real world,” and hints of Asian within the decor, including Hindu sculptures, make this resort feel very special. Eight villas are split into one master villa, three suites, and one luxury guest room. We particularly like the ones with their own infinity pool, although others have their own private beach, so it’s hard to choose between them. Furnishings Within the rooms are fun, with lots of interesting wallpapers (like the crocodile print) and dark woods.
One restaurant within the resort focuses on a range of cuisine and offers local fish. Restore your well-being in the mineral-rich infinity pool or with an in-room massage. Besides plentiful beach diversions, you can go hiking, play golf, or wander the streets of colonial Willemstad.
2. The Shore Club Turks & Caicos
The Shore Club Turks and Caicos sits on Long Bay Beach, the most private stretch of Providenciales and the most sought after location of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Named by Condé Nast Traveler as being one of the “10 Best Island Beaches around the World,” Long Bay Beach welcomes guests into a pristine, tranquil, turquoise-blue natural world.
The Shore Club Turks and Caicos offers the best of both worlds: a stunning, secluded beach just minutes from Provo’s town center. The Hartling Group, the team behind the award-winning Palms in Grace Bay, impeccably designed this luxury resort experience. With three spectacular restaurants, sophisticated bars, unique pools, smart on-site shopping, a world-class gym and spa, a complimentary Kids Club, and a wide range of water activities, there is plenty to do.
Lazy days are spent kiteboarding along a private stretch of sheltered Long Bay Beach. Enjoy candlelit dinners of Peruvian-Japanese fusion fare and a moonlight swim in one of four distinctive pools.
The 32 island-inspired suites are bathed in natural light and brilliant ocean views; book a one-bedroom with a fully stocked kitchen and study that converts to a children’s bedroom. They’ll be happy as clams climbing in the kids’ club treehouse while you’re slathered in a mix of bee honey, brown sugar, and vanilla at the Dune Spa.
3. COMO Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos
COMO Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos is the northern Caribbean’s preeminent private island, wrapped in sweeps of sand and peaceful seas in the Turks and Caicos.
It combines a thousand unspoiled acres and a mile-long powdered beach with relaxed luxury. The region’s best spa, the award-winning COMO Shambhala Retreat, provides holistic Asian-inspired therapies. Choose from 72 unique guestrooms, suites, villas, and beachside houses, all decorated in understated elegance.
For absolute privacy, reserve a residence tucked away from the main resort. The island’s two restaurants serve gourmet dishes, including organic, healthful COMO Shambhala cuisine.
4. BodyHoliday, St. Lucia

5. The Ocean Club, Bahamas, A Four Seasons Resort
Four Seasons has three exclusive hotels in the Caribbean, Four Seasons Resort Nevis Vs. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla Vs. the newly opened The Ocean Club, Bahamas, A Four Seasons Resort, but which is the best Four Seasons In the Caribbean?
The Ocean Club, Bahamas, A Four Seasons Resort, is probably the best and most sophisticated of these resorts, although they are all great. Beyond its five-mile stretch of ivory-white sand, a legendary Bahamian enclave awaits, filled with iconic experiences and delights.
Situated just off the Bahamian capital of Nassau, the property began as the private estate of a Swedish industrialist. It was later acquired by an American businessman and philanthropist who built the original 52-room hotel and golf course in 1962. In 2014, upon acquisition by Access Industries (who also own Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat, one of our favorite Four Seasons hotels), millions of dollars were invested in room renovations, a new oceanfront pool, and world-class restaurants.
The historic and glamorous Ocean Club on Paradise Island in the Bahamas became a Four Seasons hotel and resort on November 30, 2017. It had long been one of the world’s great resorts, and it now brings a Four Seasons experience in the Bahamas for luxury travelers.
Since opening in 1962, The Ocean Club has hosted the world’s most discerning guests at its picture-perfect location on a five-mile (eight-kilometer) white-sand beach along azure waters. Highlights include Versailles-inspired lawns and gardens, and rooms are housed in low-level buildings set around these gardens. The largest rooms include cottages and villas.
The resort offers five restaurants and bars, including DUNE by Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten; plus, there are three pools and six tennis courts, access to the adjacent Tom Weiskopf-designed Ocean Club golf course, all edged by a tranquil spa. There are several indoor and outdoor event spaces for up to 250 guests if you want to hold a wedding or corporate event here.
The genuine warmth of the Bahamian people matches the personalized service that only Four Seasons can deliver, creating a truly authentic Caribbean experience unlike anything else on Paradise Island.
The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas, did not find itself in the path of Hurricane Dorian not have been in its path. But the hotel and its guests have offered support in the wake of the Hurricane’s destructive path over parts of The Bahamas.
While there is no Four Seasons loyalty program, we have outlined 10 ways to get a discount at any Four Seasons hotel, so you can be sure that you are getting the best deal.
6. Four Seasons Resort Nevis
Four Seasons Nevis is located along the stunning Pinney’s Beach, the most beautiful beach on Nevis. A vast array of facilities, including golf, spa, watersports, and a fantastic children’s club, make this one of the hotels for families with children in the Caribbean.
From the moment you catch a glimpse of the iconic Nevis Peak upon arrival, you will become enveloped by the lush surroundings, with the sound of palm trees swaying in the wind and the feel of sugar-soft sand between your toes.
Four Seasons Resort Nevis has been busy re-envisioned guest rooms and suites and updating the look for the Great House lobby. It recently opened new food and beverage outlets EsQuilina and crowned monkey RUM BAR. The main signature pool has been redesigned, and their new restaurant – On the Dune – extends out onto the sand, so you can dine right on the seashore.
The resort’s signature pool was reconstructed and raised to create one long sightline from the Great House lobby straight out to the Caribbean Sea horizon. This makes it an incredible spot.
Surrounded by lush new landscaping, the 3,300 ft² (300 m²) infinity-edge pool is the new centerpiece of the resort, featuring 86 new loungers and four luxury pool cabanas. The hardwood deck is made from fully sustainable US-grown resources and features a new fire pit to the west of the pool, towards the beach.
The Dune outdoor restaurant is a wonderful place to dine and enjoy a drink or cocktail at the bar. The Caribbean-style structure offers casual food by the pool and beach. Views lead out to the Caribbean Sea, the Narrows Channel, and the neighboring island of St. Kitts.
The restaurant has a vibrant beachfront party atmosphere in the evening, offering an eclectic farm-to-table blend of Caribbean and American cuisines. The shaded covered seating area has the option of retracting the awning for views of the stars at dusk and into the night.
Mango is another dining option that offers unobstructed Caribbean views, and this is the perfect location for a sunset cocktail, while Kastawey Beach Bar is a beachside hot spot with beach games during the day and live music and entertainment in the evenings.
Kids For All Seasons is another highlight located next to the Ocean Pool, offering an outdoor program and activities for younger guests.
7. Four Seasons Resort & Residences Anguilla
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is a tropical oasis with stunning silky white-sand beaches and gentle blue water in the British West Indies. Arrive in a place that has reinvented Caribbean luxury.
The 35 square miles (91 square kilometers) island of Anguilla is one of the only islands in the British West Indies to maintain an embargo on cruise ships, casinos, and high-rise hotels, thus preserving the natural beauty, culture, and tranquillity of the island.
Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Anguilla is located along the island’s northwestern shore, offering 3,200 feet (975 meters) of pristine beachfront and unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea’s breaking surf.
This Four Seasons is set on a cliff overlooking Meads and Barnes Bay. This differs from the other two Four Seasons hotels in the Caribbean as much of the hotel is on a rocky headland with brilliant views. It also has angled modern architecture, so it has a different feel to the other two resorts.
While the Ocean Club offers historic glamour in beautiful original buildings, and The Four Seasons Resort Nevis offers soft edges and a relaxed resort feel, Four Seasons Resort And Residences Anguilla offers modern architecture, with sharp right angles and walls that completely open up to the outside. In a word, the resorts could be described as historic Vs. relaxed Vs. dramatic, respectively.
Four Seasons Resort Anguilla has three swimming pools, including the adults-only infinity pool, two tranquil private beaches, four food and dining venues, and a spa. The whole hotel has the feel of sitting right on the edge of the cliff, with matching dramatic views.
Even standard resort-view rooms are spacious and luxurious with a large sundeck. The best rooms are those with private plunge pools. A spiral staircase leads down to the rocky cove, and pathways leading to villas and Half Shell Beach Bar.
The Four Seasons Resort And Residences Anguilla is the least family-friendly Four Seasons resort in the Caribbean. While all Four Seasons hotels embrace families, I would tend to pick the Nevis and Ocean Club properties over the Anguilla hotel if I were bringing my own family to a Four Seasons resort in the Caribbean.
8. Sandy Lane, Barbados
Elegant and exceptional and considered by many to be the Caribbean’s premier address, Sandy Lane is set in an ancient mahogany grove overlooking a 1,000-foot crescent of gorgeous white-sand beach.
With a magnificent 47,000 ft² spa that lavishly accommodates 14 VIP treatment rooms, a fitness facility, and a full menu of spa services; 45 holes of championship golf, including two courses designed by Tom Fazio; four restaurants and seven bars; eight floodlit tennis courts, two padel courts; beachside service; and The Treehouse Club facility for kids and teens, Sandy Lane will exceed your expectations.
Sandy Lane also offers complimentary Fast Track service through Immigration upon arrival at the airport and complimentary packing and unpacking service, making your arrival even easier.
9. Amanera, Dominican Republic
The fact that Amanera offers Hispaniola’s most refined stay is evident from a mile away. That’s the length of Playa Grande, the immaculate beach that fronts this Bali-inspired resort.
The glass-and-teak main house highlights nature’s artistry, as do the 25 casitas and a two-bedroom, clifftop villa; most accommodations feature personal pools facing the sands. Take a jungle trek, get a seaside massage, or sip Santo Libres at the beach club, then puff a hand-rolled Dominican puro in the cigar lounge. Rees Jones renovated the adjacent golf course, touted as “the Pebble Beach of the Caribbean.”
10. Amanyara, Turks & Caicos Islands
You’d barely notice the exquisite Amanyara if you were just passing through, thanks to its low-lying rooflines, timber pavilions (some featuring private pools), and the glassy-blue sea stretching out behind it.
As luxurious as the resort may be, it never forgets its roots and is in constant harmony with its island environs. To welcome the outdoors, your pavilion features three retractable sides, a king-size bed, daybeds, flat-screen television, terraces, and a sunken table surrounded by cushions for cozy dining. The Spa Villa offers yoga and Watsu treatments in the privacy of the pavilion treatment rooms, pool, and deck.
