There are three noteworthy Kempinski ski hotels all in Europe. If these locations don’t work for you, there are five best Four Seasons Ski hotels, more than ten best Marriott ski hotels which include three brilliant Ritz-Carlton ski hotels. There are also more than ten Hyatt ski hotels.

We have also reviewed the best ski hotels in Europe separately in case those outlined below don’t work for you. The best ski hotels in the Alps tend to be family-owned and not part of a big brand. This list includes two of our favorite ski hotels in the world.

Here are the best Kempinski ski hotels. All are fantastic, and if you want free breakfast for two, a room upgrade (subject to availability), resort credit, and more don’t forget to book via our luxury travel concierge.

1. Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz

Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz is a stunning ski hotel set on the edge of the iconic ski town of St. Moritz. It’s perfectly positioned for downhill skiing with a main ski lift on the border of the gardens that front the hotel, less than a 5-minute walk away. It is also steps away from the network of cross-country ski tracks that weave down the valley that caresses this pretty town.

This Kempinski has been beautifully refurbished and offers an impressive foyer, superb and modern bar areas with views looking out over the mountains, and a number of restaurants, including an intimate, highly acclaimed Michelin-starred eatery, a charismatic and tasty Italian and the main restaurant which is also where you take your breakfast, which is set in an enormous but beautiful and airy dining room. The breakfast here, by the way, is the best in St. Moritz.

Rooms are undergoing refurbishment as I write this and will be beautifully stylish; pick one facing the front of the hotel for the best views. There is also a large spa in this vast hotel with a pool, large spa and a cryotherapy room, which freezes you briefly to combat aging.

This hotel is brilliantly located and, we think, the best Kempinski ski hotel in the world.

2. Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol

With direct access to the KitzSki ski area, Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol offers a full service, including a sports shop, ski school, and the free lift Hausleiten right on its doorstep. Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, ice skating, and many other exciting outdoor activities are all moments from the hotel and set in breathtaking landscapes.

The Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol is located in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, just seven kilometers south of the legendary Gamsstadt Kitzbühel. In the summer, guests can enjoy hiking and cycling trails. In the winter, you are right on the slopes.

The hotel, with its luxurious rooms & spacious suites, combines modern architecture with Tyrolean coziness. Culinary delights can be relished in Restaurant Steinberg with young Tyrolean cuisine, as well as international delicacies in Restaurant Sra Bua.

For those who just want to relax, the 3.600 m² Kempinski The Spa provides a calm environment with three saunas and heated indoor & outdoor pools for a day of soothing body and soul.

3. Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko

Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is the most awarded, 5-star luxury ski and spa hotel in Bansko and Bulgaria. This hotel is hard to beat for its value and magnificent landscapes of the majestic Pirin Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage environment.

Being the only ski-in and ski-out hotel in the area, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko is located right across from the Gondola lift station, which gives access to 75 km of prime-quality ski runs.

The hotel is open all year round and features 157 Alpine-style rooms, including 25 suites and an exclusive Presidential Suite, state-of-the-art spa facilities, four conference rooms, as well as five bars and three restaurants, Sushi & Teppanyaki, Come Prima Mediterranean fine dining and a family restaurant with live entertainment.
