The setting is similar to the frontage that we experienced at the Kempinski in St. Moritz, which we recently visited, but the Kempinski Palace Portoroz is across the road from a beautiful Marina and is just a minute away from its exclusive beach facility.
This luxurious hotel dates back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire and has hosted many important statesmen and film celebrities, including Sophia Loren, Josip Broz-Tito, the film actors Marcello Mastroianni, Yul Brynner, and the American actor and film director Orson Welles to name but a few.

The hotel comprises 164 Superior and Deluxe rooms 18 exclusive suites, including a luxurious 230 m² Presidential Suite and two rooftop Laguna Suites with open-air Jacuzzis.
Service & Facilities
The Adriatic Sea awaits guests of the Kempinski Palace Portorož at Palace Beach, at their newly designed beach facility. The pavement, made of white Istrian stone leading along the edge of the beach, blends with the blue colors of the sea and the sand.
Palace Beach, a luxury beach with a view of the sea, Portorož piers, and neighboring Croatia, is a sandy beach located on the public Central Portorož Beach and is equipped with sunbeds, towels, and umbrellas.
The entrance for the guests of Kempinski Palace Portorož is complimentary. Each guest is provided with a sunbed, beach umbrella, towels, and bottled water. The beach is open from 09:00 to 7:00 pm in the period from 15 June to 15 September.
The hotel also boasts a 1,500 m². Kempinski Rose Spa spread over two floors, offering luxurious facial and body treatments and excellent facilities.
