Book A Hotel

Which Fairmont Gold Club Lounges are the best in the world? The best Fairmont hotels in the world are known for their luxury, and Fairmont Gold is a premium service offering exclusive amenities and personalized services, including access to the famous Fairmont Gold Club Lounges.

Booking a Fairmont Gold room will upgrade you to the Fairmont Gold Lounge. Regular Accor members don’t get free club lounge access. The only way to access a Fairmont Gold Lounge is to pay for a Gold room.

Gold room privileges at Fairmont hotels usually include the following:

  • Private floor with its own reception desk for check-in.
  • Exclusive Fairmont Gold Lounge for Fairmont Gold guests
  • Deluxe Continental Breakfast in the Fairmont Gold Lounge
  • All day coffee & tea service in the Fairmont Gold Lounge
  • Complimentary afternoon canapés served in Gold Lounge.
  • Afternoon and evening honor bar, which is a paid self-serve bar with alcoholic drinks.
  • Complimentary newspapers and personalized wake-up calls.
  • Complimentary use of a boardroom in select locations.

If you book your next Fairmont hotel stay via our luxury travel concierge we can get you free breakfast, free hotel credit, and a free room upgrade (subject to availability), but we can’t offer free Gold Club Lounge access. For Gold Lounge access you need to book a Gold Room.

We do offer free club lounge access at some InterContinental hotels. We offer free lounge access at the InterContinental London Park Lane, Paris Le Grand, and InterContinental New York Barclay.

This is a great perk because InterContinental Club lounges offer excellent full breakfasts with free a la carte breakfast options, snacks, and drinks throughout the day and a small buffet with canapes and complimentary alcoholic drinks and cocktails in the evenings.

At the cheapest Fairmont hotels, which are usually in Asia and India, upgrading to club level can cost less than $70 USD. This is the price to upgrade your room from a standard room to a club room at the Fairmont Jaipur. The cost to upgrade to Gold level rooms at the best Fairmonts in America, Canada, and Europe can be closer to $500 USD.

For example, at the Fairmont Royal York, Toronto, a standard Fairmont Queen room costs around $279 CAD per night. The cheapest Gold room at this property costs $799 CAD per night, so the Gold Club level upgrade costs $520 CAD more.

Fairmont Gold Club Lounges are available at various Fairmont hotels worldwide. Not all Fairmont hotels have Gold levels and club lounges. We have personally reviewed Fairmont Monte Carlo and Fairmont Geneva and neither of these have club lounges.

Here are 10 Fairmont properties that we consider to have the best Fairmont Gold Club Lounges:

The award-winning Fairmont Gold Lounge here is a particular highlight of the hotel. A nice added feature of this lounge is a personalized wake-up call with complimentary coffee, tea juice, etc.

Evening cocktail hour here includes canapes and hot items as well as sushi and noodles or rice, so there is enough for a light dinner. Unusually, the alcohol selection available in the evening, which includes sparkling, red, and wine wines and spirits, seems to be for free.
