Book A Hotel

Which Le Meridien hotels have executive lounges, and which club levels are the best in the world across America, Asia, Europe, and Australia?

We think the best Le Meridien club lounge is the lounge at Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai because it has:

  • An Amazing Breakfast
  • An Amazing Beach
  • Nice Evening Snacks & Alcoholic Drinks
  • The Hotel Has A Super Pool And Beach

Previously, we have reviewed the best Ritz-Carlton club lounge and the best Marriott club lounge.

Because the Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, Le Meridien, Marriott, Sheraton, and Weston hotels all fall under the Marriott Bonvoy umbrella, it is worth checking out the Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton, and Marriott alternatives. In this review, we focus only on lounges at Le Meridien hotels.

While many Le Meridien hotels have club lounges, not all do. Le Meridien Beach Plaza (pictured above) in Monte-Carlo in the South of France is just one example of a Le Meridien hotel without a club lounge.

At certain InterContinental hotels, our luxury travel concierge offers free club lounge access. We offer free lounge access at the InterContinental London Park Lane, Paris Le Grand, and InterContinental New York Barclay. There is no other way to get free lounge access at InterContinental hotels. We also offer free club lounge access at the Fullerton in Singapore, Do contact our luxury travel concierge if you want free lounge access.

Here are the best Le Meridien hotels with executive club lounges:

1. Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa

If you are a family, you may actually prefer to stay at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa over its sister hotel, the Grosvenor House Dubai, which has one of the best executive club lounges in Dubai.

The hotel itself is ideal for families and has large free-form pools with bridges and gorgeous grassy lawns scattered with tropical palm trees. This hotel is right on its own beach (unlike Grosvenor House), so you are a hop, skip, and jump from the beach. The decor in the rooms is fresh and modern, and the balconies are large with lovely views, the best of which look over the gardens and beach.

For a family, the pool at the Royal Meridien and having a beach next door to the hotel were massive plusses, but if you are traveling as a couple or on business, you may well prefer the more peaceful and less busy pool at the Grosvenor House over the beach at Le Royal Meridien.

Le Royal Meridien beach and the hotel itself are full of holidaymakers. Many have booked package deals, and there are lots of kids, so it doesn’t feel exclusive. It’s worth mentioning that there are sometimes mosquitos in the greenery in these gardens so take your mozzy spray.

The pools at the St Regis Saadiyat and the Grosvenor House Hotel feel more exclusive and could be considered as an alternative to Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa, if you want a beachside resort. For more insight, read our comparison, Le Meridien Vs. Grosvenor House.

The club lounge here is large and serves a great breakfast, but do bear in mind that it gets very busy at the buffet. The breakfast here in the lounge is delicious, much like you would expect in a normal restaurant, with a vast buffet and a huge array of hot and cold breakfast choices.

After breakfast, this lounge becomes much more quiet, and you can enjoy snacks and beverages in peace.

The crazily busy natre of this lounge picks up again at happy hour for the free drinks and light bites.

Bottom line, if you are looking for a peaceful and sedate lounge experience, the Meridien’s sister hotel, the Grosvenor House Dubai, is much quieter, but if you want fun pools and to be on the beach, the Meridien’s club lounge is worth battling the hoards with as the food and drink offering is impressive.

2. Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre

The club lounge at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre is called the Royal Club. This club lounge sits within its own club building, with rooms, an executive lounge, and even a private, exclusive rooftop pool just for club lounge guests.

There are very few hotels with club lounges with their own exclusive club pools. Off the top of my head, there is an InterContinental and a Ritz-Carlton in Asia that has a similar setup. I can’t think of any club lounges in America with their own private pools.

This hotel and club lounge is ideal for a layover as it’s right by the airport (not that you would know). It is also one of the cheapest luxury Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Dubai. This hotel is a great deal on both Bonvoy loyalty points and cash.

Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre is a destination in itself. The hotel is huge, with at least five pools, several gyms, and restaurants. The hotel “Le Meriden Village” also has 18 restaurants, bars, a pub, pools, and so forth.

In the evenings, the village is vibrant, and the Indian restaurant, in particular, is genuinely very good. The clubrooms are large and relatively luxurious, and the service is personalized and attentive.

The food within the lounge is excellent, and the managers and chefs are always super helpful and even offer vegan food. The club serves food and drinks three times a day: breakfast, tea, and happy hour. Each sitting is a full meal, and the latter evening offering includes alcoholic drinks.

If you are a premium Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member, you get club lounge included and quite a high-end hard and soft product at a great price.

3. Le Meridien Bangkok Executive Club Lounge

Le Méridien Bangkok is right on top of Patpong, Bangkok’s famous night market, so you are in the center of the action whether you like it or not. Sala Daeng BTS and Sam Yan MRT stations are the closest tube stations, and this lounge is featured as one of our best club lounges in Bangkok.

The foyer of this hotel is modern and huge, edged with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Rooms have a natural feel with wooden floors, big windows, and a sofa seat.

The lounge here is stunning, with a double-height ceiling, double-height windows, and ornate and impressive light fixtures hanging off the ceiling.

In the morning, there is a continental breakfast buffet, and in the afternoon, there are light snacks. Early evening is hot aand cold buffet food and an open bar.

The rooftop pool here is noteworthy and inviting, with lovely decking and it is surrounded by loungers.

4. Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain

Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain has one of the best club lounges in Bahrain and the hotel is attached to City Centre Bahrain, the largest mall in the Kingdom.

The mall features Wahooo! Waterpark, Magic Planet, 20-screen Cineplex, and Saks Fifth Avenue department store. All guests of the hotel are invited to use the complimentary facilities of its sister hotel, The Westin Bahrain City Centre, such as access to spa facilities, fitness center, and infinity pool.

Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain is a nice choice in Bahrain, with club rooms having access to the club lounge. It is usually not too expensive to upgrade and is usually well worth it. You get an extensive breakfast and evening happy hour in the lounge, which more than covers the cost of the upgrade if there are two of you.

The rooms here are really good, luxurious, and modern, and the hotel is connected to the city center mall, which has plenty of dining and shopping options. This means that you are not tied to the food options available at the hotel.

5. Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur Club Lounge

This club lounge was recently renovated, and has competent staff and a stylish environment. It is one of the best club lounges in Kuala Lumpur. It features a beautiful live kitchen, a private meeting room, shower, changing rooms (ideal for late-night flights out of Kuala Lumpur as it is open 6:30 am – 11:30 pm daily). The double-height ceiling in this lounge makes it feel spacious.

There is a private check-in and check-out experience as well as all-day refreshments here at the lounge. Generous evening cocktails run from 6:00 – 8:30 pm with a wide selection of beverages and food more than enough for a full dinner.

Guests with Le Meridien club lounge access can have a full buffet breakfast at the main restaurant downstairs or a private (but smaller selection) breakfast in the club lounge. The advantage of eating in the lounge is the more sophisticated environment and the lack of queues.
