Location
The Mandarin Oriental Dubai is located in the middle of Jumeirah Beach, which is open to the public. In fact, a public running track goes right across the front of the resort between the pool and the beach.
This 256-room property was architecturally designed by Jeffrey A Wilkes, who was also responsible for the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. This is a stunning hotel in design and decor.
Style & Character
Mandarin Oriental Dubai is right on the beach and has loads of pools. The contemporary decor is stunning throughout the hotel.
The club lounge at the Mandarin Oriental Dubai is a spacious lounge that features an open-plan kitchen, a drawing room and private dining areas complete with floor-to-ceiling windows providing superb views of the Dubai skyline. It offers a private space for guests to relax and socialize whilst enjoying a host of exclusive benefits and food and beverage offerings.
This lounge is designed with lots of natural wood on the walls and in the ceiling with inset lighting. The ceiling beams, and wooden bookshelf separators create an interesting design and private spaces with nooks and crannies that break up the large space.
The color palette is creams and various shades of brown, with a few green plants providing spots of green in this natural setting. Dark wood pillars throughout the lounge give the effect of dark tree trunks. In such an urban desert environment, the foresty woods are welcome and give the room a stylish and comforting feel.
Food & Drink
Food and drink offerings here are excellent and include daily breakfast from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, exclusive afternoon tea from 2:30 – 4:00 pm, and two hours of evening cocktails and canapes served between 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Conclusion
This is a serene lounge at a brilliant beachfront resort. The main pool is stunning and lined with palm trees, the club lounge is exceptional, and the decor is beautiful. The service is not what you would expect from one of the best Four Seasons hotels, but this club lounge is one of the best in the world.
