Receive complimentary breakfast at Luxury Hotels

This article outlines the hotels in Paris that offer guests the best club or executive lounges.

If you book a standard room at the InterContinental in Paris, which is one of our partner hotels, via our luxury travel concierge (rates tend to range from €500 EUR to €1,000 EUR depending on the day and the season), you will get club lounge access absolutely free. This has got to be one of the best hotel deals in Paris!

InterContinental Paris Le Grand Club lounge is the best in Paris, followed by Hôtel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe lounge, Hilton Paris Opera executive lounge, and Renaissance Paris La Defense lounge, which is probably the worst. Many of the Disneyland Paris hotels have club lounges, although Disney hotels don’t tend to offer a decent evening meal in their lounges or alcoholic drinks unless you pay extra.

Executive and club benefits are great for early check-in or late check-out, as you can often stay in the club lounge room with all the benefits in the afternoon if you have a late flight. Conversely, you can use the club lounge and executive facilities from early in the morning if you arrive early and your room isn’t ready.

1. InterContinental Paris Le Grand

The club lounge at the InterContinental Paris is the best club lounge in Paris, as outlined below. Getting it for free makes this InterContinental our top hotel choice in Paris. The last time I was in the InterContinental Paris club lounge, we had booked a wonderful rooftop room in the eaves of this historic hotel.

The view was out over the rooftops of Paris, and it couldn’t have been more romantic. The InterContinental Le Grand is conveniently located in the Opera district, very close to the Place Concorde, Rue Faubourg Honore, Champs Elysees, etc. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished and remodeled and is one of Paris’s most beautiful and luxurious hotels.

If you book a classic room at this hotel, book via our concierge, and you will get a complimentary upgrade to a superior room (subject to availability and confirmed at time of booking).

If you are a premium member of the InterContinental loyalty scheme, the IHG Rewards Club, you will get all your usual points, status benefits, and perks on this booking.

Even if you have loyalty status or are an InterContinental Ambassador, you will be charged around 150 Euros to access the club lounge at this InterContinental in Paris. If you book with us, you get all your usual benefits, and we can apply your loyalty number to your booking so that you can collect your points. Plus, you will also get free Club Lounge access, even when you book their standard room.

The lounge itself is a charming space on two levels at the top of the hotel. The upper level has great views of the Opera, and the whole lounge offers free internet.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast with eggs made to order and juices and a glass of champagne (Moet) if you like. Breakfast is available every day from 7:30 am – 10:00 pm.

Enjoy their cold buffet at midday, with high-end items like foie gras, smoked salmon, hams and cheeses, and free-flowing Nicolas Feuillatte champagne.

Indulge in their delicious pastries at tea time and, at the end of the day, enjoy a light supper in the lounge, which is open until 10:00 pm. Expect excellent service with a generous delivery of unlimited champagne and wine to drink each night, along with beer, spirits, and soft drinks. Canapes included oysters, sushi, paté, and lots of cheese.

People in this lounge tend to be friendly in this lounge, and because of its location in Paris, there are usually a fair number of British and American guests who use the lounge.

Usefully, the lounge is not just a lounge. The staff will fix any problems and organize housekeeping, etc., at a time to suit you if requested. They can also check you in and check you out.

Is the InterContinental Club lounge the best in Paris? The food is extensive. You could happily live off the food without needing to eat elsewhere. The drink offering is extensive, and the hotel is grand, classic, and beautifully restored. I think this is the best club lounge in Paris.

2. Hôtel du Collectionneur

The Hôtel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe Paris enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of the 8th arrondissement, facing the Parc Monceau and is a short walk from the Champs-Elysées and the Rue du Faubourg St Honoré. Inspired by transatlantic liners, its style invites you to rediscover the splendor of the 30s in an elegant and distinguished atmosphere.

Guests in their 88 Executive Rooms and 59 suites enjoy free access to their Executive Lounge. Here, there is space to relax, a large-screen television, and a decked terrace where you can enjoy breakfast as well as snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

Complimentary snacks, drinks, and alcohol are always available. The staff are super nice and offer a varying array of bites in the evening. One night, they have a sushi dinner, and usually, the lounge food is enough to fill you up. The hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and only a couple of blocks from the Champs-Elysees, so it is a great choice and, in our opinion, offers the second-best club lounge in Paris.

3. Hilton Paris Opera

Hilton Paris Opera is found in a beautifully restored 1889 building located beside the Saint Lazare train and metro stations. Situated in the lively Opera district, this historic hotel offers a blend of elegant Belle Époque architecture and modern amenities.

The Executive lounge is lovely and serves a full range of food and drink, including water, coffee, and soft drinks throughout the day. Breakfast is decent. In the evenings, between 6:00 – 8:00 pm, there are snacks, including sandwiches, various salads, and cheese, as well as an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available.

The Hilton Paris Opera is within a 30-minute walk of all of the key tourist sites, or you can use the Metro public transport system. By Metro, this hotel is a mere 5-10 minutes from all the sights. While the location is not absolutely ideal for those who like to be on top of the action, the hotel is beautiful. The lounge is excellent, making it a good choice and placing it in the third position in my listing of the best hotel club lounges in Paris. If you pay, this hotel costs around 80,000 Hilton HHonors in redemption or around €500 EUR.

4. Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel

The Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel is around a 15 to 20 minutes Metro ride to Champs Elysees, so although the club lounge is good (not great but good), the location is quite far from the sights, so this is not the best hotel to choose from in Paris.

Book a club room, which is located on the high floors at the Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel, and you get access to their club lounge. These gorgeous premium rooms and suites at the Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel provide a luxurious retreat amidst the energy of France’s capital city. Special amenities in every club room include bathrobes, slippers, Tokyo Milk products, and complimentary Wi-Fi access.

The newly renovated club lounge is open from 6:30 am – 9:00 pm and offers loads of space and a private terrace for guests. Start your day with a delicious Continental breakfast available Monday to Friday. In the evening, stop by for delectable snacks and small bites complemented by a nice glass of wine. Evening snacks are available from Sunday through Thursday. Additional refreshments, including free water/juice/coffee and a selection of fresh fruits, are also available throughout the day.

So to reiterate the above, you don’t have the canapes and drinks service in this lounge on the weekends. Unlike most Marriott properties, this hotel has taken away their Friday and Saturday executive floor lounge happy hour as well as Saturday breakfast in the club lounge. They do provide a voucher for the main hotel breakfast restaurant when breakfast isn’t available in the lounge, but on the weekend, don’t expect free drinks and nibbles in this lounge as this rather unusual setup means that you can’t take advantage of the lounge freebies in the evenings on the weekend!

From the wide selection at breakfast (you can also request eggs and omelets to order) to the gourmet appetizers and drinks, including champagne from 5:30 – 9:00 pm, this lounge is a great choice. But if you are traveling on a weekend, be aware that you will miss out on any evening happy hour.

5. Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel

The Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel is a Marriot/Bonvoy Category 8 property. The hotel is located in the heart of the ninth arrondissement on Boulevard Haussmann, about a 30-minute drive from Orly (ORY) or a 40-minute drive from Charles de Gaulle (CDG). It’s a five-minute walk from Galleries Lafayette and Printemps department stores and in a nice neighborhood for local restaurants.

Access to an executive lounge is usually pretty valuable as it includes cocktails, wine, and beer, plus hot/cold snacks from early evening. Soft drinks are supposedly served until midnight. The reality of this lounge is not as good as it sounds.

In fact, this lounge here is pretty terrible. Hot, smelly (of food) with no view. There is little to choose from food-wise, and the quality is poor. Inexcusably so. Breakfast is a buffet affair with little choice. Low-quality bacon and sausage are the hot plates; you get basic bread, fruit, and yogurt. A very meager spread. The only positive is a decent coffee machine. During our last visit, they had even run out of bottled still and sparkling water.

The food served up later in the day is also pretty horrible. Hot rice and “something” that I couldn’t figure out, but the look was so unappealing you would have to be exceptionally hungry (starving?) to eat it! In the evening, the choice of drinks is poor, with no decent canapes. This has to be the worst club lounge in Paris.

6. Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport is not well located for central Paris but is ideally located for their main International airport and is also well located if you want to stop by Disneyland Paris. Located in the heart of CDG airport terminals, this hotel is a three-minute walk from CDGVAL Station Terminal 3/Roissypole/RER offering public transport connections to Villepinte Exhibition Center and Le Bourget Airport.

Paris Center station can be reached in 35 minutes. Enjoy our Skylight Bar & Restaurant, large meeting facilities, fitness center, on-site parking and if you book a club room you can take advantage of Executive Lounge access here with complimentary breakfast, snacks and beverages.

7. Disneyland Paris

Beyond the center of Paris, Disney Hotels also offer club lounges. Club-level lounges aren’t available at all hotels in Disneyland Paris. The Disneyland Hotel has the Castle Club, Newport Bay has Compass Club, New York has the Empire State Club, and Sequoia Lodge has the Golden Forest Club lounge.

If you are considering a stay at club level in these hotels, it’s worth knowing what you are getting. Taking the Newport Bay Compass Club as an example (you will get similar benefits across all the hotels), you get an exclusive private check-in, which is a separate check-in via the Compass Club reception away from the main check-in check-out area.

Compass Club rooms are located on the top two floors of the main building of the Newport Bay Hotel. Compass Club rooms consist of standard and family rooms and larger suites. Compass Club rooms offer upgraded furniture and bedding, better views (as the rooms are higher), turn-down service, which includes Disney chocolate coins left on your pillow, one complimentary Fastpass per day, great for using on the most popular rides such as Big Thunder Mountain and Ratatouille. Suites receive VIP Fastpasses, which give unlimited Fastpass access to rides.

Finally, Compass Club rooms get lounge access. The lounge is an art deco-themed club lounge for club-level guests only. The only way to access this lounge is if you have paid for a club room. The lounge is divided into a lounge with loads of comfy seats, a bar, and a dining area where breakfast and afternoon tea are served. The lounge is Disney-ed right up with a giant star-filled ceiling and hilarious animated portholes that make you feel like you’re at sea.

Complimentary newspapers (The Telegraph), magazines, and TV showing Disney Channel were available. Hell or heaven, depending on which way you look at it!

Compass Club guests are entitled to take breakfast in the Compass Club lounge rather than in the main restaurants, which is a more serene experience than the super busy Yacht Club or Cape Cod. There are also no allocated breakfast time slots for compass club guests. You just arrive for breakfast when you want it. Breakfast is an extensive array of hot-cooked breakfasts, cereals, and pancakes.

Afternoon tea is served in the Compass Club Lounge daily from 4:00 – 5:45 pm with a range of sweet snacks, Disney cakes, and hot and cold drinks. Check the spread out here. During the day, there are complimentary hot and cold drinks.

Is it worth paying to upgrade to this club level and lounge? The average Compass Club room costs around £100 GBP more per night than a standard room and is worth paying extra for. Still, it is worth mentioning that alcoholic drinks are not free here, unlike the club lounge at the InterContinental in the center of Paris. You can order beer, wine, champagne, etc., in the club lounges across Disney, but you must pay for them. In addition, the evening nibbles are not a full meal, so you will still need to eat out. Expect a small dish of nibbles, but there is usually no significant food after afternoon tea.

8. Four Seasons George V Paris

Four Seasons George V Paris is one of the best hotels in Paris. It has a wonderful indoor pool and spa and a guarantee of luxury rooms and service, a truly glorious example of a historic hotel in Paris. It has a lounge, La Galerie Lounge to be exact, which showcases Flemish tapestries, 19th-century paintings & furniture, and exquisite objets d’art.

This is not, however, a club lounge. This lounge is more like a bar or a lounge where you might have afternoon tea. The fundamental difference is that you have to pay for drinks and food in this lounge, unlike the offering in a club lounge where everything is free once you have paid for the access and are through the door.
