1. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana, Waikiki Beach
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana, Waikiki Beach is located on the edge of Waikiki, within a mile of Waikiki Beach, Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and the Ala Moana Center. Waikiki Aquarium, Royal Hawaiian Center. Downtown Honolulu is three miles away, and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is 15 minutes away.
On arrival, enjoy a pool with decking, ocean views, and a DoubleTree cookie. Sadly, this hotel is not on the beach. Expect a short walk of around 15 minutes to reach the sandy shores of Waikiki Beach from this hotel.
Rates here are cheap for Hawaii at $315 USD per room per night in June, but be aware the rooms here are currently a bit drab and are arguably in need of refurbishment.
2. Hilton Waikiki Beach, Oahu
Just a block away from the glistening ocean, Hilton Waikiki Beach offers an affordable option in a prime location. Nestled against the iconic silhouette of Leahi (Diamond Head), this modern Waikiki retreat immerses guests in authentic Hawaiian charm. Enjoy accommodations with breathtaking views, resort-style amenities, and a variety of dining options available around the clock.
While the hotel features a club lounge, it may not rank among the top Hilton Club lounges, lacking a view and offering a somewhat generic atmosphere. However, the pricing of its rooms reflects its beach-adjacent location. With rates starting at $371 USD per room per night in June, Hilton Waikiki Beach provides budget-friendly accommodations in Hawaii.
4. Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, Oahu
If you’re seeking an affordable getaway in Waikiki, consider the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. Despite its towering high-rise buildings, this Hilton hotel offers a sprawling layout spread across 22 acres of tropical paradise. Waikiki’s broadest sandy beach and a unique saltwater lagoon where you might catch a glimpse of penguins make it an enticing option.
Starting at just 60,000 Hilton Honors points per night, this resort offers great value. While it may not provide the secluded retreat some expect, its location in bustling Waikiki ensures easy access to attractions like Pearl Harbor and Ala Moana shopping mall.
Indulge in the resort’s dining and drinking spots that spill onto the beach, perfect for sunset cocktails. With five swimming pools, a Mandara Spa, and over 20 dining options, there’s plenty to explore without breaking the bank. Consider upgrading to the Ali’i Tower for added luxury and perks like priority restaurant access.
Rates are surprisingly reasonable, starting at $436 USD per room per night in June, making this extensive Waikiki resort an attractive choice for budget-conscious travelers.
5. Embassy Suites By Hilton Waikiki Beach, Oahu
This is the most expensive Hilton in Waikiki, but unless you are traveling in a big group, we prefer the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort above, as it has more facilities and is right on the beach. Embassy suites are ideal for those who want extra space or travel in a larger group.
The Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach allows you to book a one-bedroom suite with a pull-out bed for $573 USD per room per night in June, which is not the cheapest Hilton in Waikiki, but as the room is much larger, you can fit more people in, so the cost per person may be less.
As with all Embassy Suites, you get free cooked-to-order breakfast and access to complimentary drinks, snacks, and weekly entertainment at the evening poolside reception.
