Aloft Singapore Novena is not a luxury hotel, this is a full-on budget property but it has modern rooms with wooden floors, cooky triangular murals on the walls, a desk and chair by the big windows, two restaurants, a bar and a surprisingly stylish pool surrounded by palm trees, all for the bargain price of $285 SGD per room per night in July. This is a bargain for a hotel with a great pool.

2. Sheraton Towers Singapore
The Sheraton Towers Singapore is a five-star hotel in downtown Singapore. Located near Orchard Road, in the vibrant city center, you are steps from the Newton Interchange Train Station. Luxurious hotel rooms or heritage-themed suites feature views of downtown Singapore or the pool. The price here starts at around $926 SGD per room per night in July. If you can’t stretch to this, stay at a cheaper Marriott and pop by for a cocktail here one evening. The lush jungly setting is astonishing.
